real class act. known to give full tosses the full treatment. on a more serious note he is an on again and off again and blows hot and cold. i'd give him a couple of more years to prove himself.

Which position do you expect him to play at the moment? In tests -Gambir & Sehwag are there to open, where is the place in the middle order. In ODIs, Gambhir, Sehwag & Tendulkar are there to open again where is the place in the middle order? and just a suggestion, I understand you are new on the board, but a quick search will help you find if the topic already exists and if it does feel free to bump it than opening a new thread:icflove:.

I doubt it. Certainly no more than a back-up to Viru/Gambhir at the top of the order - though he's probably unanimously that now given Karthik's woeful form with the bat - and I can't say I'm convinced that he's the future of the middle order. I'd like to think we can blood better batting prospects than the likes of Vijay and Badrinath.

He is basically pathetic for limited overs cricket...Clueless how to score runs against International quality bowlers at a good strike rate.... and the worst part is he is an opener so he would screw the PP overs as well..Hope he doesnt become our backup opener...

^ ya. cool na. Vijay is a bit of an ftb I think too. he should have been in the BP squad to face Aus.
