There are definite positive signs emerging for Ashwin. The mere fact that Dhoni chose him over more established names like Murali, Bollinger to bowl the super-over shows that his faith in Ashwin is ever increasing. Again, in yesterday’s match, when the fate of the match and CSK’s future in the tournament was in the balance (Warriors needed 32 runs off 3 overs with 7 wickets in hand), once again, MSD turned to Aswhin. So its obvious that there’s no shortage confidence on the part of CSK captain MSD, who incidentally, happens to be captain if team India. :--D

He showed the same faith in Ashwin in the 2nd half of IPL 3 but did not pick him in the playing 11 even when Ashwin was in the squad in an useless series.

Ashwin maybe mediocre and he may not do wonders if he play for India but then Bhajji and Mishra aint doing anything. Also Mishra is such a crap bowler who bowls no ball after no ball.
Bhajji does one thing. Darting. One of the reason Ashwin might go for few sixes is because he is not afraid to toss the ball up. But if you look at pros and cons of his style of bowling pros far outweigh cons. He bowls mostly when the power play is on. So chances of getting hit is higher. But he gets you wickets.
