It happened again. Opposition could not take our 20 wickets despite the pitch was so assisting bowlers. On the otherside, we have taken 20 wkts more than 10-12 occasions in the last 2 years. Phast bowling, bolwing powerhouse etc etc is all overrated. The real power is batting line up which cannot be bullied in the two consecutive innings of the match. You just can't dominate our 20 batsmen in all 5 days. B-> Undisputed #1 team indeed. Take a bow.:hatsoff:

Yes, it has happened again. Once again India's bowling was called weak, inadequate and incapable of taking 20 wickets and once again we have done exactly that.

Thing is that we have always found bowlers or combination of bowlers to take wickets. Sehwag is more than decent bowler and he did not even bowl in second innings. Even though we have to take 25 wickets, we still do it. :--D

It is just the pressure. The pressure on opposition batsmen that they have to play very good and score tons of runs because no matter how many runs they score, Indians will score as many or even more. That pressure take away extra edge in their batting and gives undue importance to our bowler.

Absolutely !!. This batting lineup has shattered one of the myths that batsmen cant win games. Well they put up soo many runs on board time and again .... even a half-decent bowling lineup is good enuff to run thru the opposition twice. Thats a new formula

our last two test match wins wer not cos of huge totals posted by our batting ...bowling out Aus & sl for ~400 & ~200 in the two innings on flat tracks deserves credit ..our batting , barring a few individual performances has been far from impressive lately

To me bowling of Ishant was the turning point of the match. From that point on, we were always strong in the game. Until then it was balanced. So I would say bowling indeed played a V strong role in this win. Unfortunately, we remember only batting of Ishant but 4 vital wickets in 10 balls. That was just #$#$ing unbelievable. I think somebody posted this before. Bt how many tests in India have produced results in the last 10 years ? How many in the Sub-Continent (BD excluded)?

I always feel our bowling is underrated.They dont get the appreciation because of our extraordinary batting. All our bowlers bowl in the dead pitches and still take wickets.I am pretty sure records of our bowlers would have been very different had they bowled more in England or New Zealand. People criticize our batsmen claiming them making all the runs on flat tracks but very easily forget the achievements of our bowlers on those same flat tracks.
