beetle Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 my teachers beat me lot' date='but i never say a single word to them.:(([/quote'] :icflove:good boy.....
Andy Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Andy...I have rarely seen a good student misbehave with teachers. What does that mean? Just because some student is Mediocre or average they have no right to protest ( no matter what way) to some injustice done to them? I have heard in few schools teachers start beating up students for even talking in the Class.:cantstop: I never faced that because i was well diciplined all my school life, but have seen this thing happening to many.

"A mediocre or average student" can be a good student .A good student is one who wants to learn.Grades don't make a student bad or good. As for students talking in class......they need to be disciplined not just for their sake but also for the sake of other children who want to be taught in class.
beetle Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Ma'am are you a 'Teacher' by any chance?:hmmm: :--D was for a few years..... Now I try and learn....:((

yoda Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 So school has barely started, they are getting 3 months punishment. Given that the kids in this school per PKhota are rich and don't really come for studying, I say they should use these 3 months for more fb time and some partying. B->
Andy Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 :--D was for a few years..... Waisay...what did the teacher who got beaten do to deserve the beating....and how did he react?
yoda Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Andy' date=' Most schools are private organizations. [b']They do not have to provide 'you' with an education and neither are yu doing a favour by studying there. There have been many instances of corporates firing people who critized them or their employees on facebook. Why should school and colleges be different? If you dont value the teachers and staff, why should you remain there? Are you doing a favour by studying in these instutions? In fact you are gaining much more than the moeny you pay as fees. Yes they have to provide you with an education once you are enrolled there. Regarding rest of the issues, it is more complicated than that. There are some schools in India which are outright disgusting in the way they treat the kids. Yes you can say leave and go, we don't care. For some students it is not easy cause Parents have already committed the kids there and aren't going to find a new school for them. In those cases it is natural for kids to biatch and moan. I personally know of a school in chennai where my niece went to, which was outright mean and rude to the students. They even had an unwritten policy of providing special coaching/help to whom the teachers thought were top ranker material and as a result ended up neglecting other kids or didn't given them the same information or teaching. There were more issues like outright rude teachers, etc. And many students who join these schools can't just leave cause getting admission in a good school is very difficult. Despite these issues, kids put up and stay there cause they don't have a choice. Normally they would discuss these things over the phone, with the advent of fb, they are using it as an alternate medium. Andy, not it doesn't mean you beat up your teacher. :hehe:

Waisay...what did the teacher who got beaten do to deserve the beating....and how did he react? NP opinions differ from person to person, offcourse generation gap matters. Not serious beating it was too casual , more of a threatened and less of "beaten up". That guy used to beat up students at his will. So he was beaten up, later he was caught molesting a Girl and was sacked.

flamy Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Free expression? I hope they realize that they can go to jail over this if it was really offensive. They are retards.
yoda Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 BTW, to add to my previous post, the school I went to was top class. I did class 7-12 in the same school. We were all treated with respect, no favoritism other than the usual 1 or 2 favorite kids, overall had a ball and got a great education. Unfortunately, it is not the same in every school.
flamy Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 ya i have fond mammaries (headmistress) of my school too :aha:

Then i joined some bhagora school, though i was never treated badly there, many werent who were innocent.
beetle Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Agree with Yoda ..... But the students in this case were upset about bad marks.I wish they had spent the time they spent abusing the teacher more fruitfully by studying.I believe it was the math paper. It's not easy to give bad marks in math if you have done the work well.If the students had a problem...they should have met the higher authorities and got the papers looked into.If that didn't work...they could have asked their parents to intervene. Most teachers are very strict with the markng specially in the 10th and 12th class tests .It usually makes most students hit the books harder.....
yoda Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 ya i have fond mammaries (headmistress) of my school too :aha: Yes I remember one such set. :giggle:
