This match is ours for the taking. Australia lack the spinners to take advantage of a fifth day pitch. If Sehwag and Vijay can see off the new ball bowlers in Mitch/Hilf then we should be able to chase anything around 220 but it's absolutely vital we pick up the tail enders quickly tomorrow. Every run now is crucial.

The ball is staying low too. Brain fart in the1st innings will come back to bite us. I hope we make it 2:0 but my mind is saying something else.

The older ball will start getting reverse, scuffy pitch and all

Was a really poor batting display by India today, lacking in any strategy whatsoever, which does not show Dhoni in a good light as he was out there for much of the time. Should have scored much quicker but the scoring ground to a halt and wickets were given away cheaply. At the least should have tried to take out time from the game by occupying the crease. Did neither and may well now suffer the consequences.

The way he got out was shocking it was nothing shot neither attack nor defense, if India needs Dhoni to win the match it is as good as gone.

What makes you think Australia are capable of reverse swinging the ball? They've only managed it once after the 60 overs with the 2nd new ball. Otherwise, they've failed to reverse it at all. They may end up doing it but by the time they manage to do it (by the 60th over or so) we would have already scored around 180 runs because they don't have any real spinners. That's the advantage people are forgetting about. If Australia even had ONE quality spinner then I agree, it becomes very very difficult to score/chase on a fifth day wicket but they have nothing in the spin department making it pretty straightforward for the likes of experienced players like Sehwag/Sachin etc.

Need to ensure Mitch for example doesnt land any more meaty blows to take the target up around 230-40...unthinkable scenario and one I feel might well be out of reach

he has been average this series' date='he needs to hold up one end so others can score.[/quote'] Yes, the class of the man, will help save us, afterall he is one of the top 3 batsman that our country has ever produced. (after SRT and Gavaskar) He is due a "Wall" Innings.
