Of course we can. Just need to sort out our stupid board! It's board's fault to change captain every series, make a player like Yonus Yosuf sit out, let players get involved in internal politics before its too late, sifarshi players ahead of deserving players, let suspicious characters like Mazhar roam around the team, selectors don;t watch domestic players, lame domestic pitches etc etc. This board is corrupt and incompetent to core. It's not just under Ijazz Butt, but even before him we hardly had consistency with fair selection and captaincy. It's though good to see uncle Akthar still showing confidence as ever. He was awesome against England and hopefully will carry his form.

and yet it is the players that are under performing intentionally for either money or they just dont like the captain. It is the players that cheat, bites balls, tampers pitches. It is the players the bowl no-balls just to show to a NOTW reporter that they are ready to fix games. I am sure PCB is as inept as anything else in Pakistan but redirecting the blame for things the players committed to the board is just pakistani and the 1st sign that this cycle will keep on repeating.

spot fix, not game...which is yet to be proven just like the 3rd ODI where great Sun newspaper got info from Mars but recently got disgusted and another Newton newspaper known as Dailymail tried to frame Akthar but failed miserably. In my earlier post thought I didn't defend any player. I just hold the board responsible more than the players b/c bottom line is that its the board which runs cricket. If they are messed up, corrupt, incompetent and hardly have any decent strategy to run a cricket organization then obviously doom it will be. Few players are rot but if there are no firm policies and strict punishment, unlike daily bans and unbans, then few troublemaker are bound to cause trouble.

I find the language interesting. It's the language of hopelessness. Every team falling behind in competition and knowing that will not make it to the front use this language for self consolation. They think or like to think of the unlimited potential they carry and how if certain things had been different, they could have been world beaters. The Pakistani fans have been thinking the same way for sometime. Thats why there is a general perception in the Pakistani fan base that even though teams like India and Australia are doing better, Pakistani has better talent that for some unexplainable reason (always blamed on external factors), have not been able to perform. On the other hand, teams that know that they can make it to the top dont say it aloud. They go to work and make it happen. A bright example is India.

Are you telling me that the video in which Majeed took money did not happen?? Can you please tell me your version of what happened? I will make it easier and to the point. 1. Do you think that the tape is fraud ? Yes/No (if no, then answer 2 else answer 3) 2. How is the tape not real? a. Majeed was in on it to blame Pak by RAW/Mossad/Santa claus b. The tape was made after the game (although its most likely already verified it wasnt) 3. If the tape is real, then why do you think that pak players did not spot fix?

So yeah, ICC is doing it part. I dont know if the players have answered the notice but ICC cannot move forward before that. Besides, wasnt the place for hearing already picked? I suppose the next step would be to pick a panel of judges but its a very delicate matter because its pak and pak has no friends. So any panel will come under harsh criticism in pak even before the trial begins.

My point is; video proves are there, everything is real, players caught red handed, you have all the proves you are required then why ICC taking this long, what is that suspension for, why notices, negotiations, interviews, meetings etc etc... You have all the proves so straight away ban them for life or whatever punishment you want to give, why to make everything so complicated and why such a long delay, is that ICC handling the case or it is Pakistani police?

I thought he went Inzi's way and became full time mullah :--D Good for him, as far as jadeja is concerned, anyone is better than him on any day on any form of cricket. Btw, you being a pakistani, I can understand your emotions involved but you are probably rating your players way too high, there is no such thing as automatic selection for any of the 8 you mentioned in the best ODI sides, also Ind/Eng/SA/Aus/SL can also put down their so called 8 players who can make it into any team in the world (again no automatic selection). Heck, India's top 6 batsmen can replace the whole pakistani batting line up (top 6) :--D Veeru/Gambhir or Jaya/Sanga are better in terms of class/performance than your top 4 batsmen combined :giggle: (such duos can be found from other teams too)

There are steps and guidelines to follow. Due process takes time. Haroon just cannot say that he believes the players are guilty and ban them. Even kasab had a trial.

Well I think the main problem in fact is that the talent is drying up. There was a time you could say, if someone gets this team together, they will be the best, that was 10 years back. Now, you look at the batting talent on display and the one that is on the bench, it is not very inspiring at all. Wonder what the cricket academies have been doing. They will always produce quick bowlers. But I disagree with Pak. posters that the blame can solely be put on PCB which is incompetent no doubt. Yes, PCB has been incompetent in discipling Pak. players who have time and again crossed the line. But players are not exactly winning the medal for moral conduct, are they ? If we go through this decade year by year, it only reveals the disintegration of any structure that may have existed in Pak. team or players.

Are you serious? You don't want them to follow the due process of ICC code. You can go through the regulations and see where ICC have gone wrong. It would have been the same for any team any board. Time is not really a factor as long as the correct decision is being made with players given the opportunity to present their case. Btw chk. match fixing scandals in other sports and how much time it takes to provide the sentence.
