Lord Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 :hysterical: Warner and Hussey opened all-you-can-eat-buffet from Jaddu in the T20 cup n who can forget his beastly sixes against England last year wen he was prmoted ahead of Yuvi
Andy Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Irfan has also won games' date='like T20 finals 2007.in pressure situations,he is usually very calm, unlike Jaddu[/quote'] I wont argue on this because i want him too ahead of Sir Jadu. But who cares, does the selectors or our Captaan?
vvvslaxman Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 He and Sir Aggy had epic contributions for the Oppositions in the past as a bowler. But i'll take him anyday over the Legend Sir J. The thing is you can easily hide him somewhere in the middle overs. ON a good day he can do well with new ball as well. Jaddu is practically useless with bat. Every time India loses by 20 odd runs you can't help thinking about Irfan who can bat anywhere. Yes. He is not the perfect solution. But IMHO he is the best alternative.

The guy has not much swing left in him, and when he swings he is so slow that batters can wasily pick up the swing and Hit him through. The reason why this lad is not playing Cricket for India today is he himslef, his attitude. Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag was thrown out of the side. They scored runs in domestic cricket, improved their game against the technical problems they had. Never talked in the media saying i cant do this, i cant do that like IKP. This guy has always been saying, Pace is not a requiremnt etc , etc, he has nothing to improve on, not ready to identify his mistakes is his biggest problem and since then he hasnt improved. No wonder this guy is out. But the only thing i want him back because we have no beter replacemnt at this momment.
King Tendulkar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 What is this obssession people have with crapthan. Can't believe people still dream about him. He was rubbish when at his best. Do we really need those 75 mph lollipops( no one post that hatrick against pak, please note he got smoked after that or that one ball against gilly as evidence). Very ordinary bowler(at times cannon fodder) and even more ordinary bat. Yet hailed as great all rounder. Next someone will call for kaif or Balaji back!!!

King Tendulkar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Jadeja is a better bowler. Day in day out more likley not to get smoked and keep a lid on it. Jadeja can be very economical and at times his bowling is very effetive. Crapthans bowling is crap Fielding equal. Batting equal. Both average. pathan is not a great bat. No idea were the notion of Irfan being kapil Dev like has come from.
Andy Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Lol KT with his IKP and Nehra Hate back again :--D
King Tendulkar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 jadejas econmy rate of 4.8 is actually superb. Comparable to most front line spinners
King Tendulkar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Lol KT with his IKP and Nehra Hate back again :--D They are from a mediocre era of indian cricket. Very poor players, cant believe they have fans! Looking for new and young players to be given exposure and they will improve big time from this. Crapthan makes nehra look like a world beater!

He makes Nehra and Crapthan Look like Legends.
someone Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 Got to agree with King Tendulkar and disagree with Lords. Again Lords is living 3-4 years back, mentioning some very useless old facts while totally ignoring the current situation. I think the major problem at the moment can be termed as "potential". There is still a large number of blinded supporters who believe Pathan has potential to improve and do well and therefore will dismiss any of his weakness. But sadly it is different standards in regards to Jadeja despite being much younger than Pathan. At Jadeja age, Pathan was excused as being young and said he will learn. While Jadeja today, is still bitterly blamed for all the losses and therefore seen as one who will not improve. Really bad.

Jadeja can be very economical and at times his bowling is very effetive. Crapthans bowling is crap yeah better bowler, not likely to get smoked, like vvslaxman reffered to a game against Aus.:giggle: Jadeja's played most of his matches on spin friendly tracks, yet has horrible numbers, cant remember him winning a game for us Irfan, wen played in helpful conditions in SA,won the T20 cup for us. Fielding equal. agreed Batting equal. Both average. pathan is not a great bat. No idea were the notion of Irfan being kapil Dev like has come from. who said hes Kapil Dev?stop dreaming? he has the abilty to slog which Jaddu lacks, also Jaddu cracks under pressure, where Irfan is more likely not to
King Tendulkar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Jadejas bowling figures are reaaly good. He can be very tight and effective. Its his batting which lets him down in terms of lack of power hitting and strike rate. He is still handy with bat considering his bowling stats are comparable to a front line spinner doing well
Lord Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 jadejas econmy rate of 4.8 is actually superb. Comparable to most front line spinners front line spinners have far beter S/R's n averages

Jadeja will have conditions to help. Crapthan would get smoked in any conditions(unless trees growing on track and cloud conditions) let alone in India. He would go for 8 or 9 an over in India
saneindian Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Unless he can get his bowling sorted, he won't be the same player he was during 2005-06. He is 26 right now, so its all over for him yet. BCCI has not helped matters much by refusing to let him play in county cricket which can actually help him get his form back. Add to it the fact that he has completely lost the faith of the captain and coach. But having said that, away from home, he still has a role to play. Would lend perfect balance to the team at that no 7 posiiton. But when playing in India/Subcontinent, it has to be Ashwin/Jadeja/a batsman like Tiwary or Uthappa).
