Umesh Yadav? :hmmm:
they should have groomed Umesh Yadav instead of Vi Ku who neither has pace nor the control or variations...at least Umesh has pace which he can certainly improve and get better the more he plays and i dnt think he can do any wrong than VK did in the match....

"Short ball" Ishant and "Deadly" PK in the second tier... r
That'll be short and no-ball Ishant. With the number of no-balls and Free-hits in ODIs that Ishant will concede, it wont be funny anymore :giggle:
i forgot to add phast bowlers Vinay' date=' Dinda and ([b'](delhi bowler - i forgot his name)) in the list
Pradeep Sangwan?

Umesh "the son of a miner" Yadav :weights: and the mythical "big foot" Atul Sharma

Agarkar i agree , for all the vinay kumar and dindas we have tried an agarkar would make a far better 2nd or 3rd seamer. Infact for a good amount of time he was our best ODI bowler and with experience he was getting better. Add to that for a bowler he is a fantastic fielder and safe catcher. Unfortunatly i cannot see agarkar making a comeback to Indian team now .

At some point in Sl last year Badri also played one or two one day games and he did not do badly too...he too was dropped after that...they also picked Balaji for that SL tour then he was never picked again........ Are these selectors just picking players to give them India cap...they have made it very easy...this just sounds to be a mockery of selection process

Dinda did very well with the limited oppurtunities he got, Picket up wickets. He is not a Good bowler with the new ball, most of the times sprays it all over. But our major problem is Middle overs and Death overs. He is beter than the most ib our team in that department. People who havent watched him bowl may have different argument.

Good use of the slower ones too. Has potential to be decent bowler in the death for sure.

Am just assigning him a particular role in the team. That is to bowl in the middle overs and Death. And i have seen him do that quite well over and over again. Even on his worst days he picks up wickets, plus he has a habbit of Hurrying Batsman into the shot with his short ones.

Like Tiwari is in for pinch hitting, Dinda could be good with bowling at death. But it's hard to believe than none of them can bowl some decent yorkers at death now.

I dont believe none can. They can, but they are being directed by the Line-Length thought process. For an instance Zak has done it time and again for us, but whenever you see him playing in ODIs for us he keeps on bowling length.. Its just the thought that Line and Legth is the Way to go for them. The thought needs to be chaged. Thats the differnce between Dinda and current Indian bowlers he knows what to bowl at Death unlike most of us. And the think i dont like about VK is his attitude, this guy doesnt have a fast bowlers attitude. Dinda is agressive and has Fast bowler's attitude.

Zaheer, PK and Nehra are 3 certainities for the WC. The race for 4th pacer is between Ishant, Sreesanth, Vinay Kumar, Irfan Patahn, Unadkat, Mithun, Tyagi, Dinda, Umesh Yadav, Pankaj Singh and Dhawal Kulkarni. I have a feeling in all likelihood, it will be one out of Sreesanth and Ishant with Irfan a long shot provided he can put in some decent domestic performances between now and the start of the SA ODI series.

What about my man RP SINGH:giggle: Ok not odis but should be in test squad
Has become too fat and moves like a 40 yr old veteran!! As a result is struggling to touch 130kmph and has lost all the zip and swing he used to have. Another waste of a talent.

Agarkar was a very good bowler in the recent past.he bowled the yorkers at death with some reverse swing and i have not seen any bowler bowling yorkers like he did.We have a hole in our death bowling, and Aggy can fill it.The only problem is that he is short of match practice. He was guilty of bowling boundary balls after having bowled some real Peach and finally releasing the pressure that was applied on the batsman. But he can't do worse than the current lot.he is a wicket taker and can bowl well in the death overs. To me he should have been given some more chances. Talking about Irfan, he too needs some match practice before getting ignored for the WC Squad. He syurely is better than Jadeja in every aspect(except fielding :D), and he should be given a chance in the NZ Series. To me we must try out some youngsters and forgotten "Stalwarts" and give them opportunities to prove themselves before the all important World Cup Selection. My squad for NZ ODI series would be : Virat Kohli Saurabh Tiwary Shikhar Dhawan Suresh raina Murali Vijay Rohit Sharma Yuvraj Singh Dinesh karthik Parthiv Patel Irfan pathan Ravindra jadeja Munaf Patel Dhawal Kulkarni Ishant Sharma Ajit Agrakar yes this would be the final chance given to the youngsters to perform.the whole of S.African tour should be for our regular batsman and bowlers who perform well, to practice before the World Cup.

Ha ha ha ha:hysterical: This is just hysterical...When Agarkar was Indian team..fans like you used mock him saying he cannot bowl at death...he takes wickets but goes for a lot of runs on those days when T20 wasn't invented and now when he is not in the team..people asking of his inclusion.... This is a human nature actually....we always forget the past and try to imagine something which is not possible.....and Agarkar bowling well at death is not possible....try something new instead of going back when back is not so good at all.... actually Agarkar was not a good death bowler at all....a few good balls here and there that is it...nothing special...though he used to take wickets but that was also limited to his initial years, after that he became as ordinary as anyone

Don't forget Aggy wields a mean willow too. He had the record for the fastest fifty for an India batsman, and a century in Lords.:icflove: That man is the only chance we have for our second worldcup. Remember paaji standing on the Lord's balcony lofting the cup high. Now imagine Agarkar bhai in Wankhede stadium doing the same. Say it loud, say it proud. Agarkar bhai for the third seamer position for India.
