I like it how people say - Sehwag is one of his kind. But since he is unique, he is not as good as 'others' for a place in world XI. Not that it matters, esp not for Sehwag, but for the very fact that he is unique in 100+ years history of test cricket - he should be default choice for that opening slot. Today teams are able to 'sort' Sehwag out in about half of the matches, i wonder what a player like him would have done in 30s.

In the ICC all time bowling rankings. Mr Lohmann is ranked 2nd best bowler ever(they take in to account pitches, competition etc etc). Yet does not even appear in disccusions let alone team. Why is that? Anti 19 century cricket. If Hobbs from 100 years ago can be included, then why not Lohmann from 120 years ago? Poor Lohmann will never get his rightful place as a cricket all time great as his performances show!

But Raja against his peers is well below them. Its not a question of how dominat against his peers for raja but that he is well below most of his peers. Also Rajas average is pathetic. Thus at least 100 hundred of his peers ahead of raja in world 11 Lohmann however ticks all the boxes. Totally dominat against his peers, best average and strike rate ever, ranked number 2 in icc best ever ratings, yet not even considered. Anti 19th century!

Check out Hobbs on video. Textbook technique:--D
Found one video of youtube and his shots do not look stylish at all. Looks a bit like a amateur player in today's cricket. The class is missing. :headshake:

was marshall so good than holding ' date=' garner and others?[/quote'] Marshall I think could be best fast bowler of all time no offense to Wasim Akram, he could bowl with swing with new ball with deadly accuracy and his leg cutter and off cutter were deadly even on docile pitches, Lillee was not anywhere close to what Marshall was on docile pitches. His bouncer was so vicious the ball reared up from good length almost making it impossible for batsmen to survive, his spell of 7 for 50 or something with one broken hand was one best spells of fast bowling , He was not a tall man but had tremendous run up and fast arm action to generate so much pace.

Sachin Tendulkar's record against the greatest fast bowler's of his generation! Its a joke! How can Tendulkar be there? Imran Khan needs to be there. He was greatest cricket captain ever.Give us a break. Here is some hard cold facts about the most over rated batsman of world Tendulkar: In tests against Australia; Sachin averages a modest 36.77 against Australia when McGrath played. In test against SA; Sachin averages a pathetic 32 against South Africa whenever Allan Donald has played.Tendulkar was a failure against Wasim and Waqar and hardly played against them. He anyway averaged 32 runs against them. Interestingly he still averages around 40 against Pakistan. Against the 3 greatest fast bowlers of his era, whom he faced in more than one Test series, McGrath, Donald and Akram, Sachin has scored 1719 Test runs at a modest average of 34.3 (compared to his career average of 56). This is the very definition of being over-rated. You can not become best by scoring against Shane Warne. You need to score against the best to become the best.Just like Sir Viv Richards did! Saw this comment in the Cricinfo World All Time Xi article. While Sachin is one of my favourite cricketers (along with Sehwag, Dravid, Raina, Harmison, Alec Stewart and Dale Steyn), his figures against the best quickies of his time are pretty ordinary to say the least. Surely this is a massive weakness in his legacy.
