the problem with both Sree and ishant are that they are both very streaky players.ishant can look very ordinary an entire inning and do well in the next inning.The same goes for Sree but when he is on he can run through sides.its the reason i would pick Sree too.

Should Amit Mishra be released to play some domestic matches? Amit Mishra has not been getting a game for quite a while, and probably very rusty in terms of match practice. For sure, they are not going to pick him in Test 1 (and most likely in Test-2 as well). So, can the team management release him to play in some other matches? Or they need to keep him as cover for 'last minute' injury to main spinner(s)? Maybe the idea is A.M. is not going to go to SA anyway, so he gets to play domestics then? So they retain him as a benchwarmer during Aus and NZ series.

mithun is a good choice for sa' date='the bounce will really help him.[/quote'] I would like Umesh Yadav..coz he bowls with upright seam with what I saw in challenger trophy and getting away swing in hot conditions of Indore...in the final match and has much more pace then Mithun...Mithun is no where near an international bowler right now until he resolves his issues with his action...Umesh Yadav and Sudeep Tyagi have better actions with more pace then him and can swing and seam it too....they can be soon developed as International bowlers if they keep themselves fit and improves steadily...:two_thumbs_up:

Hope its not the case' date='but I also know that is not going to happen,it will be unfortunate for Sree who is a far better bowler than Ishant[/quote'] Sree can only take wickets with swing which is not gonna happen much...Ishant has bounce, seam, and reverse swing too...Sree is no way better than Ishant...for me Ishant is better choice...if Ishant is in full flow he can be menacing he can unsettle the batsman like what he did against SA last year to Amla with bouncers and same he did in SL too...Sree cant even bowl good bouncer which is a surprise weapon for every bowler...Sree will be more successful in SA where both of them will play in eleven...

Both Gambhir and Ishant last played in the Mohali Test against Australia before a knee injury laid them low and forced them to skip the second and final Test at Bangalore. The world number one Test side go into the contest on the back of a 2-0 defeat of Australia at home last month and look primed for another triumph in the traditional format of the game. Daniel Vettori's Black Caps, who are languishing at number eight in the Test rankings, hope to recover from an embarrassing 4-0 one-day series loss to minnows Bangladesh. "The Bangladesh tour was extremely disappointing," Vettori told reporters in Ahmedabad. "We will try to rectify that in India. It's a fresh start for us. "It's Test cricket and we have new players here and they have not been affected by what happened in Bangladesh," said Vettori, who will be playing his 100th Test for the Black Caps. "When you lose 4-0, no matter to whom, you should expect a lot of criticism. Hopefully, it can be a catalyst for us in improving all facets of our game." The Indians have been on song, snatching a sensational one-wicket victory in the opening Test against Australia in Mohali and following it up with a seven-wicket win in Bangalore despite missing three key players. Do NZ play an BP XI as warmup... will be inetersting to see who makes up that squad...esp the bowling lineup as the batting for a BP team mostly picks itself... Dhawan, Mukund, Rahane, Yuvraj, Virat, Saha, Piyush, Ashwin, Unadkat...then who...two of Dhawal, Vinay Kumar, Munaf , Umesh Yadav or perhaps Tyagi.. Itll be nice if we go 2-0 up then maybe we can give Kohli, Rahane and Mukund test debuts in the 3rd test
