Top 10 Miserly bowlers and their economy rates. Wickets they have taken in this period can be listed along as additional info, but ranking is strictly on E.R.

And others too, so the 40 overs criteria not being applied?
Andy Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Among the Indian pacers, Munaf looks the most economical.
Clarke Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 east or west, jaddu is the best. stats are for noobs .. on field performance under pressure counts. hence, jaddu is the best.
dial_100 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 lol .... bug in SG :hehe: here : http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=2;filter=advanced;host=6;orderby=economy_rate;qualmin2=240;qualval2=balls;spanmax1=31+Dec+2010;spanmin1=01+Jan+2006;spanval1=span;template=results;type=bowling :hehe: Ravindra Jadeja....
ludhianvi Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 This is an interesting query Just looking at these overall stats without going into much detail, Pathan actually features at the top of the list and his wickets are also comparable. The only issue is that the last match played is in 2008. Surpisingly, even Munaf and Zak's stats look decent. Perhaps, we need to narrow down the timeline to see how the pacers have done relative to each other. Btw, Finey statsguru is fairly simple. For this query go to statsguru->select ODI tab->Choose Bowling subheading->Choose advanced filter->and select the options. The selected criteria also appears at the top in the final query link that Bossbhai presented earlier :nice:
EnterTheVoid Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Bhajji the most miserly indian bowler in the list :bhangra: Finey, go kill urself :hysterical::hysterical:
fineleg Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Thanks baasu bhai :icflove: and Ludh bhava. @pkay - Well, Bhajji has to do good in SOMETHING! and he does so in ODI econ rate. If you have noticed, ppl who have criticized HS have been mostly critical of his Test match bowling, and this thread is abt ODIs. I'm surprised to see Munaf leading the pack in terms of medium pacers. And it is abundantly clear India should try to go with two mainstream spin option for WC. The medium pacers do poorly in Indian pitches (Ind. medium pacers esp), and no Ishant Sharma. Seems like dsr is right abt goofyru! Murali Kartik has done fairly good, and Sir Aggy ain't too bad either. R. Jadoo has done well. Sreesanth is really poor, and Ishant and Sreesanth should be kept as Test specialists.
ZodiaC Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Jaddu & Powar the spin twinz Sir Aggie the 2nd most economical bowler. Take that u suckaz :finger:
fineleg Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Jaddu & Powar the spin twinz Sir Aggie the 2nd most economical bowler. Take that u suckaz :finger: Aggy gets a lot of flak, and yes he's a poor bowler, but he is better than the vinay kumars, nehras, rp singhs (current form), ishant sharma, sreesanth et.al. in ODI format!
ZodiaC Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Aggy gets a lot of flak' date=' and yes he's a poor bowler, but he is better than the vinay kumars, nehras, rp singhs (current form), ishant sharma, sreesanth et.al. in ODI format![/quote'] :two_thumbs_up: BTW Munaf chacha our most economical pacer :nervous:
Sir john Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 murli need a chance,he is a better ODI bowler than ojha and bhajji.
fineleg Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 murli need a chance' date='he is a better ODI bowler than ojha and bhajji.[/quote'] He has been unfairly treated by selectors!
