1st Inn batting after the wonderful start by Viru - Shameful, simply shameful by India

Except for Viru and Laxman (and half-decent by Gambhir) - very shameful by the Indian batsmen. Dhoni is on vacation with the batting. Dhoni is probably on vacation with the keeping as well. Kaptaan Kool :headshake: Dravid - cries for his retirement are increasing from many folks, and he looks really shaky. Very poor batting by Dravid - its getting really worrisome. Tendulkar and Raina both decided to have a Bangladesh like or Pakistan like Ashrafool/Afridi moment. While benefit of doubt that it is a rare concentration loss, very hurtful given the match situation!!! Batting by the #1 team against NZ is absolutely pathetic!!!

This is ridiculous stuff from India. India cannot afford so many players to be out of form at the same time. Gauti, Dravid, Dhoni. Throw in Raina and Sachin in this seris. India effectively plays with 2 batsmen. Viru and Laxman. Thankfully Bhajji saved our ass last time.

Yes, but the others need not bat like Viru, but they can still bat half-decently? Not this level of pathetic batting. Bowlers did the hard work and got NZ out for 350, and batsmen suddenly want to play like Pakis, thats ridiculous :headshake:

You are posting this just as we take a first innings lead? :hmmmm:
Oh, thats such a great thing! With Viru's knock - we should have aimed for 500-550. At least 500. A paltry 1st Inn lead is not something that needs to be applauded. Puhlllleeeez!

Exactly! This is absolutely ridiculous! Bowlers do the work, and then this! Kamaal!

I can't help it but this nonsense is really getting tiresome' date=' especially these silly attention seeking headlines.[/quote'] Too bad that you got tired by the thread instead of the listless and purposeless batting by the #1 ranked team after the bowlers had bent their back to get the opposition out for 350. Thanks for taking time out of your hectic schedule to drop by here.

I think what we need is a sticky thread for fineleg like Sir John's subah kaa naashta thread:P
so many 'valuable' thoughts spread across so many threads is hard to keep track off.
Agree GM. Fineleg, seems like you just don't get it despite many polite requests. Oh well.

sree-india, I dont see you posting "tired" when you see thousands and thousands of threads when some batsman got century. When that is good, then you should be able to take some threads which blame a really poor performance as well. The team esp. the top order (with an exception or two) has let down the bowlers badly in this series thus far. I do hope they (batsmen) take control soon. This is the bloody #8 team in the world we are facing. Not the West Indies of the 80s. We should not take NZ lightly, but we do need to be able to deliver strongly against them in a Test series played in Indian conditions

Look dude, all that is well and good but the point is, show some perspective. Lets not jump to conclusions, we're only in day 2 for goodness sake.
