I cant understand people's obsession with dropping Raina and replacing with Pujara. Is there a guarantee that Pujara is going to score a 100 every time he walks in to bat? People are having too high an expectation from Pujara and a couple of back to back failure for Pujara and these same people will be calling for his head. We tend to have very high expectations of our players and when they dont perform it we seem to get on a bandwagon to drop them.

Raina's temperament is of concern. There were 2 fielders placed by Vettori to prevent Raina going for his favorite hoik. Raina had already scored a 4 in that over. Still he went for that stupid hoik..Only a overconfident player (having a Grade A contract, being a chum of Dhoni) can play those stupid shots, especially when he has replaced UV for the Test spot.

People can play a bad shot out of boredom or for taking the game forward like sachin and raina did today. I would call it lack of temperament. SA series away should be the best test.

When Aussies were on top they were just ruthless in their execution against everyone , even when they wrapped any test or odi series , they played with same commitment for dead rubber games. Bhajji scoring runs is fine and dandy but the way Indians collapsed in both test matches after getting great starts is a concern. Dhoni and Raina have to step up you cant depend of same batsmen every test match.

Agree with Putrevus here. Is this how we, a No. 1 side should perform at home against a test minnow? IMHO not. We have a great attack of Zak (easily the best bowler in subcontinent) & Bhajji (who has always been great at home) and our batting attack is miles ahead of any team in business. We should do much better than this IMHO.

Boss Bhai, Its not abt whether Bhajji has rescued India somewhat last night (or evening in India). Bhajji has had to do the bail-our-asses act (with batting) in three consecutive innings now. While we can applaud Bhajji for that, we cannot applaud our batting lineup taking things too lightly. They took NZ lightly in the Test-1, ok, fine. Wake up call. Now again!? This against this #8 NZ bowling in Indian pitches - Thats just baffling! Ok, NZ are showing 'sincerity and commitment' and all the hard work, fine, but they can do Siras-Aasanam and they are still NZ for heavensake! I re-iterate the fact that we are playing in India, so no Southee or C.Martin are not gonna transform into a Marshall/Holding and Vettori is no Murlitharan or Bedi. What next? Are we gonna expect Bhajji to bail our asses against Steyn/Morkel and Parnell? This batting lineup is a supreme batting lineup. No arguments about that. This lineup is one of the best I've seen and the legends are awesome players. No arguments about that either. Even the young gun like Raina is talented player, and Dhoni has shown in the (distant) past, (unfortunately its becoming distant past in Tests) that he can bat too. But they are not even performing to 50% of their abilities against NZ. Why the complacency? Why the falling to the NZ standards when we play with them? Why do we lower our batting standards to match the opposition??? Anyway, I hope that India can do a miracle and win this Test. (I am tired of seeing draws against NZ, and a loss will be a nightmare against NZ).
