I don't think that's a bad thing. It'll seperate the flat track batsmen from the real classy players who can negotiate that kind of seam and movement.

It's about balance obviously. Only a couple of years ago the domestic pitches were awful. Totally geared towards batting, making for boring cricket and one dimensional players. But now that they've started to introduce different kinds of pitches it keeps everything balanced.

I am not saying a raging turner is bad at all. Infact it is just our counterpart for what the Aussies dish-up at Perth or the Saffers at Kingsmead. As long as both teams are playing on the same surface, I think any kind of surface is fair. Just saying that I'd like our team to notch a win against a visiting side on a different type of surface - deviating from traditions

But we are already doing that...we won at Headingley, at Perth, at Joburg, etc.

Yes that should have been the call. We are capable of beating NZ in any kind of pitches. We did that when we toured NZ last time. I don't understand why we went for relative flat pitches for first two matches. I really don't think that we were afraid of anything, it is just that curator were clueless on what to do with pitches.
