Bublu Bhuyan Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I'm hard pressing my father to get me a new Swift Dzire soon. So far things look positive. My brother's wedding is scheduled in January, and I'm asking him to get me the car before that. For some reason I'm fascinated by Sedans. I fancy them ..... Oh by the way, which cars do you guys currently own?
Bublu Bhuyan Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Gosh, I can't even imagine how sweet it'll be to take my girl on our first date in my new car. That would be awesome. Good thing that I waited so long to ask her out for a date.
Shane Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 We should rename this the Holysmoke thread! From discussions in the past http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=153637

Bublu Bhuyan Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 What's the matter, no responses!!
Holysmoke Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 What's the matter' date=' no responses!![/quote'] You're thinking of buying a Dzire:cantstop: its FUGLY! Reasons for not buying Dzire. 1. New swift version is out in Europe, so will be out in India in Jan/Feb. That means new Dzire too! So your new Dzire will be outdated before your first service. 2. The competition is really gonna heat up soon. New fiesta has been spotted testing and will launch in Jan/Feb. 3. Toyota Etios Launching in December. 4. Hyundai has launched the new Accent in Korea, but God knows when it will come here. 4. The waiting period for the Dzire is more than a month IIRC. 5. If you're buying the petrol, does it come with the K-series engine? I'm not sure.. I know the swift does.. I guess this would too.. If it doesnt dont buy it.. coz the other engine is really outdated now (modified version of old esteem engine) 6. IT LOOKS FUGLY 7. No rear legroom. What is your budget? If its 6-7 lacs then I would recommend waiting.(If you only want a sedan) If you can stretch it a bit then go for the honda city/ vw vento.
Holysmoke Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Why dont you look at something like a Used (Pre-Owned) Civic? You'll get 2007-8 models with not much mileage for ~7 lacs. That car is a LOT of fun to drive.

Holysmoke Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I don't think there'll be a new version of Dzire. It's just Swift that'll have a new one. Yes it will. Maruti will try to share as many components as possible from the swift and the dzire.

suma25 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Rather than dzire i would suggest go for linea if your dad can afford it. One of th best looking sedans in the indian market right now.

Oh Bublu Bublu Bublu… P.S; At least this is not as bad as the ‘Shoaib Akhtar oozes with charisma..’ gaffe. :wall: P.S2; Stop saying 'Gosh.':wall::wall:
Lord Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 my brother bought Volkswagen Vento last month.looks cool.check that out.definitely better than Dzire

As for the girl, I have access to her almost 24/7. I'm pretty sure she won't refuse my request for a date.
