The 2nd half of Dravid innings was a treat to watch!! Wonderful batting really. Was struggling for form early on, but fought through that period and then settled down to play a lovely knock. Well done RD. Now the only think lacking is that huge front foot stride he used to take before adjusting his footwork to play shots. If somehow that stride comesback, RD will be truly back to his best and consistently pile on the runs once again.

He got his last 80 off around a 100 balls, so once the adjustment to the slow nature of the pitch is done, it seems easy peesy, looking forward to big ones from Goddy and VVS.

No matter what he does, Dravid’s always going to be an easy target for his detractors. That’s the price you pay for being 35+ and still being an active player. Steve Waugh went through it, Mathew Hayden went through it and now its Dravid turn. The problem is that, in this stage of a cricketer’s career, every single failing of his will be magnified many times over. So If he doesn’t score runs at all, the critics will burn him for that. If he scores runs, but doesn’t score big, then that would be a cardinal sin. If he scores, scores big, but scores slow, then that will be a problem too. The only way for Dravid to silence his foes is to bat like Sehwag and that aint happening any time soon.

Lara took 232 innings. Dravid already played 250. But the average is about same :)

Dravid @ 30 hundreds Its amazing.... Rahul dravid made one more record 30th century in career is a dream milestone for a player Chasing Bradman's 29 hundreds...It is really great milestone. Wish Rahul dravid to reach more and more milestones.

Good to see him among the runs :nice: Break the innings into two parts: 17 (100 balls) 87 ( 127 bals) There was a time when Sehwag had overlapped(100+ runs) him but Dravid kept doing his stuff in the meantime. It wasnt as if he was playing and missing a lot of the shots in the first 100 balls, probably just not finding the gaps. Good temperament
