No UDRS in South Africa-India Tests

A Team that lost by an innings and then wins the next test with some shoddy umpiring is not the best team in the world :winky:. I personally think England, SA and India can all contend for that spot. But that's besides the point of this thread, BCCI needs to stop refusing UDRS or else all of India's achievements will have an asterisk next to it.

UDRS should be mandatory in every test, just look at todays poor decisions. I guess this is why BCCI dont want it if all the decisions go their way.

Well if UDRS is 99% correct and umpires 80% or whatever they are then its quite obvious why we need it.

Well you can say for sure its better than just going on the umpires alone. It has been 100% correct in the ashes anyway.

To not have UDRS is just ridiculous it works perfectly if hot spot is available. In one of the tests this series Doctrove got 4 decisions wrong in a row all turned over by UDRS with no fuss.

we can go all the way back to Series from late 70s against Pakis :--D ... but for the Memory challenged folks out here go look at reports from the 2003/4 , 2004 , the 2008 BG trophy, 2006/7 SA-vs-Ind series.

I feel special, someone bothered to look up my past posts. :hysterical: Anyways, what I dont get is if India has been in the wrong end of bad decisions in the past, shouldn't BCCI be the first one lining up to approve the UDRS so Team India will no longer be hurt by bad umpiring.

But if the rules were changed that the 3rd umpire could call noballs, then i suppose the umpires wouldn't give close calls, just maybe.

How can u be sure UDRS is 100% UDRS uses cameras to predict trajectory and height, When the word "Predict" comes in , there is a level of uncertainty. UDRS can never be 100% I dont like the UDRS height predictions, i feel they are not accurate, thats why i am not a fan of it. Some decisions look plumb on real time and then udrs says ball going over the top by a big margin..
