hari504504 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Honestly feel sorry for the Kiwis... but then look at the trend - on the eve of the 2003 WC we were blanked in the NZ tour without winning anything..we went on to be the finalists, Kiwis too may bounce back after all this..B->
Sachin=GOD Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 ^ I honestly don't see the Kiwis bouncing back. Their squad lacks depth in every department and it would be a surprise if they made it past the quarter finals or semi finals at the most.
maniac Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 We should have given oppurtunity to more youngsters...Hope we do that in the upcoming games..a squad with Gambhir,Yuvraj,Kohli,Zaheer,Sreeshanth,Nehra,Raina,Vijay,Ashwin who are either regular members or more or less in the scheme of things regularly. Tried and tested players like Munaf(Who was impressive btw),YKP,Jadeja,Saha. This would have been a good oppurtunity to try Unadkat,Yadav and Tiwary and how they handle the big leagues albeit a weaker opposition. On a side note Jadeja and YKP should never be given another oppurtunity again.Their time is over.I will still hold on to my thoughts on Saha.The only person who really benifitted from this series is Munaf.
The Dark Horse Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Kohli, Ashwin have turned out to be positives, also Gambhir is back to form. Just hope the pace bowlers step it up and we are ready for the world cup:two_thumbs_up:
maniac Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Well Kiwis next series is against Pak at home,they have a great opportunity to get their confidence back before the WC
cowboysfan Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 This thumping win has come at the right time for us. Gambhir looking in ominous touch, Kohli and Yuvraj too looking in great form, Ashwin, Yusuf doing well in middle overs and the best news is the form of the pacers. Sree, Zak, Munaf all looking in fantatstic rhythm. Perhaps for the first time we will be going to a series of SA in such rich vein of form. Before 2006-07 SA tour, the team was in shambles and there were plenty of issues (Yuvraj's injury, Sachin's injury, Greg Chappel etc). In 2001-02, we had lost number of tri series finals before the SA series and had lost the series in SL and drawn one in ZImbabwe before the SA series. In 1996-97, before the SA tour we had lost a series at home for the first time in so many yeras to SA, lost on the tour of England. The only signinifacnt win was the Titan cup before the tour. All in all we look best prepared for this tour with a team in form and without any major weakness (perhaps no 6 in tests is the only one). Perfect time to go and win a series in SA> amen,cant wait for the SA series.We have a great chance to win or atleast tie the test series
Pak_Forever Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I am really bored of playing the Kiwis' date=' actually bored of winning every matches so easily, when will some teams grow some balls and stand up against us, I hope we witness some fight-backs against us or else cricket is dead to me.[/quote'] Tell your board to not to be be cowards and play against us. :winky:
Pak_Forever Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I think Banglawash was too much to take for NZ. They couldn't recover and might not recover for a long time.
kabira Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Well Kiwis next series is against Pak at home' date='they have a great opportunity to get their confidence back before the WC[/quote'] so you can follow your team there...good luck.
flamy Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Does a little humility kill you ? meh, humility is for the humiliated
King Tendulkar Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 meh' date=' humility is for the humiliated[/quote']:hysterical:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 meh' date=' humility is for the humiliated[/quote'] :giggle:
Ram Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Most boringest series EVA! The Kiwis look completely clueless and deflated. Their game, especially their batting seems to be completely out of touch with the prevailing situation. They’re batting as though this is 1998. If they get their acts together pretty soon, they’re in a massive disappointment this WC, which is unfortunate because they always tend to do well in ICC events
