calling him a cowlasher is ignorant ,his shots are all clean and well struck. however he does not have the technical ability or the range of a decent specialist and hence he is a much more limited player compared to a specialist.

i can understand where you are coming from and sometimes im inclined to think the same but i think we are lead to believe this because Yusuf hasnt developed his temperamant for batting long inning becos we always play him lower down the order and dont consider him as a specialist batsmen and so we come in and expect him to get 17 an over straight away, if you look at today his first 40 runs came very slowly and he got himself in and thats why he was able to perform like this. There have been very few similar opportunities for yousuf in the past. coming in at 7 and hitting straight away...even albie morkel stuggles to do this hence he hasnt been as consitently successful for south africa as he otherwise would.
