putrevus Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 they are young players who are still developing and learning. In the real world, the inexperienced players do not give big scores consistently.that's the job of established players. players take time to develop.that's the way it works. you are just stating your likes. but its no jusitified when one see that 1 he does not have the skill set of a specailist and hence more limited player than them. 2 His dubious bowling skills means he is at best fake allrounder giving an imaginary balance. 3. he may be helpful vs sl or NZ but against aus and sa inthe crunch match , he will be mostly insignificant . In the end, there are a few players who can do the same demolition job without the same limitations and even if they don't bowl, they cam win matches with the bat vs better sides. hence he is not needed for India.maybe for a side like nz, he could have been very useful player. Let Classy Nohit Sharma win a match against any side then we can talk about his greatness.Even yesterday he got a life which he royally screwed it up.
DeXteR Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 at least he will be useful than that crap jadega:winky:
mhr123 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 1) YP can give Nightmare to many Captians ... not sure if Jaddu can do the same.. 2) Opponent Capt knows things are not over yet while YP is still there ... not sure if they wud give the same thought to Jaddu.. 3) YP on his day can score a 30 balls 60 .. Can Jaddu do it.. 4) At no.7 u need someone who can just take off.. not sure at No 7 u need someone who can grind the opposition. 5) to Add to it .. even after the dismissal of no 6 batsman, Capt can be on his edge of seat ... As YP Enters... hmmmm Cant say abt jaddu 6) i remember Ian Chappel once said and I quote " Geoffry Boycott never gave me sleepless nights as he used to make me sleep while he was batting and more often when he scored a century the match would be a tame draw ... the one's who gave me sleepless nights where someone like Viv , Sobers who can take the game within an hour"unquote Now tell me does Jaddu give sleepless nights to any Captain...
spectre Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 ^ I agree with all the points, but its unfair to compare Jadeja with YP, both are very different type of players. He gets the most stick here, becuase people expect a lot more from him. He is just into Intl cricket and already has a decent ODI bowling record. He is no slogger. He is more of an accumulator and once he tightens his technique, he will be a good batsman. His FC performances suggests that. I am sure he will come back as a good allrounder, India is searching for.

Well said Ravindra though mediocrity has no place in current Indian team, you have to raise your level fast or its curtains for you, now go back to practice instead of browsing ICF
ch1234 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Yeah.. the other Pathan is just ISI certified. :--D Think about Raina.. This guy was billed to take Indian batting to world cup glory (than Sachin )for the last 3-4 months.. Now his position in the XI is questioned.. We want Raina to be in the XI even at the cost of Sehwag or Yuvraj..
spectre Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 lol, how did you come to know Raina's position in the ODI team is questionable In recent times, he has been the best ODI player in the team, after Sachin Yeah.. the other Pathan is just ISI certified. :--D Think about Raina.. ch1234 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I have read people's comments. Even Ravi Shastri was questioning his stake in the XI yesterday.

daryl1985 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Raina has suffered from the fact that he has been dropped down the order and is now considered a finisher for India. There is no way he should be dropped. He is a brilliant ODI batsman in Indian conditions. Yuvraj Singh has to start for India because he can do a decent job with the ball. Despite his superb form i think Kohli will have to sit out unless we go in with 7 batsmen.
spectre Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Virat Kohli is not going to jump ahead of Raina in the pecking order. He is a No.3 and will fight for that spot with Gambhir, simple as that No.7 would be and should be Yusuf Pathan in subcontinent wickets http://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/columnscricket/Problem-of-plenty-for-the-selectors/Article1-636122.aspx
saneindian Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Kohli will be the backup batsman in the 15 and will get to play only if one out of Yuvraj, Pathan and Raina has a bad start to the WC. In all probability for the first few matches of the WC, our starting 11 could look like this Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Raina, Dhoni, Yusuf, Ashwin, Bhajji, Zak, PK/Sreesanth/Nehra.

2k11 prod Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Seems like his luck is wearing off :( I think it is now time his boosted average drops and he will start to get exposed,
Anakin Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Useless, almost Afraidiesque, at least the beast is a better bowler.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I've been saying for a long time - bring Raina and drop Yusuf.
flamy Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I've been saying for a long time - bring Raina and drop Yusuf. :WTF:
rahulrulezz Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I can understand why Pakistanis wud say stuff about Pathan but it boils my blood when an Indian says $h!t about Y.Pathan ... check all the media, other team captains, commentators, analysts... everyone is scared of Indian batting cuz a player of calibre like Y.Pathan is there at #7 ..and some of our own morons abuse him when he play... believe me or not, he will win us this worldcup... I swear if these guys who say @h!t about Pathan meet me face to face, I will rip their jabda apart.. for god sake it was PP over, he was sent there to hit... Some morons just prefer innings like 20 of 45 balls notout of Dhoni
