Raina should be dropped for Tests

He is uncomfortable against both swing, bounce and the short ball. He is very good for ODIs and t20s though. Even in Indian conditions he came a cropper against quality attacks. We need to draft in some other technically correct player into the team.

IKnowU, just look at his technique and performance in recent india series before talking bs.

Any other young lefthanded batsmen should be good.
There is a guy called Yuvraj who has great potential...Infact he has had this great potential for the past 11 years.

Badrinath shud play, he can become our hussey when the greats retire. He played two tests against the lethal saffers, and did well in one test. Then one failure, and hez dropped for good. Meanwhile, raina, vijay and yuvraj have been getting way too many chances in tests - all proving to be useless.

IKnowU' date=' just look at his technique and performance in recent india series before talking bs.[/quote'] I dont care about technique or performance. Hes proven to be successful even with slight flaws, and he should be nurtured further to get better. Not dumped because hes not perfect. :finger:

Pujara' date='Kohli or even Vijay would have been a better fit at that position..[/quote'] Totally false. Since when do you those players bat so low? :headshake: So what if they are better? they are not suited for the role that is being questioned anyway. How about we play to the players strengths rather screwing around with them in the order.

The selectors keep on ignoring the domestic giants in favor of not so good T20 players. The only exception is pujara and he had already shown positive signs on debut

raina has been playing non-stop and its very normal to have a bad patch he should be rested for this test series, pujara can replace him will get back in the groove for the WC when he plays the odis and t20s

Pujara richly deserves a chance more than Raina...he has gotten enough.....Pujara is a good fielder also
No **** he does, but Pujara doesnt belong that low in the order. hence the reason hes not playing.

i agree raina should be dropped, infact if sachin cannot score a 100 and save this game then even he should be dropped along with Dravid who is getting old. We have the biggest match winner in yousuf pathan if he was playing he would have scored a 200+ in as many balls and we would be looking to win this game instead of looking to draw thanks to these old age batsman.

Big moment for Raina. Needs to score at least a 50 to save his place for the next test! Anything less than that and he won't get a chance to play for India in whites in the next 18 months at the least keeping in mind our next test assignments are against WI,ENG and AUS..all away tests!
