What do you savour the most while watching a Test match?

I like to watch a good clean action fast bowler, running up and giving it all the effort and making the ball fly by the batsman. I don't generally like bowlers getting hit, but Sehwag's batspeed is a wonder to watch sometimes, and ofcourse any of good Tendulkar's shots.

Goddy on the field, whether batting, bowling or fielding. other than that I like a good fast bowler (like Steyn or Lee or Bond) in full flow against a very classy batsman (like Laxman, Jayawardena, Mark Waugh etc).

England didnt get bowled down very often, only Anderson from Harris and Tremlett from Johnson was a stump shattering delivery, weird how the stumps in Aus never really get knocked out however in ICC tournaments and IPL spinners and Irfan Pathans can knock stumps out.

Bowler's intense speed with variations versus a batsman's guts to stand tall and survive one delivery after another and session after another. TBH, never watched test cricket until I joined ICF. I am not a fan of it just yet but I have my own likes and dislikes about the format as yet.

Yes, something like Allan Donald against Mark and Steve Waugh in Sydney in January 1998. A sustained spell of hostile bowling which the twins negotiated very well. Meant Aus would only have to bat once. Steve negotiating tough seaming conditions at Old Trafford in 1997 to score a century in each innings. At the time, Aus were still 1-0 down in the series. Coming to think of it, Steve Waugh comes to mind on many such occasions. He was probably, along with Allan Border, the toughest cricketer mentally that I have ever seen. Watching him bat in seemingly adverse situations was always an object lesson. Mark was great to watch, played several match-winning and saving innings, and was a better batsman technically. But he didn't value his wicket anywhere near as highly as Steve (hence why Steve averaged 50+, and Mark only 41). Ok, maybe I've gone a bit :offtopic:, but basically that's what I like to see in Tests - a mixture of classicism and grit. And between them, the Waugh twins had oodles of both.

Has to be fast bowler running in and bowling as quick as he can. Hate them as much as you watch but past pak fast bowlers were always a treat to watch my fav still is waqar running in hard and bowling those magical spells that he did. Akram, donald, ambrose , young pollock were just great to watch.
