ravishingravi Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 V Sehwag G Ghambir C Pujara S Tendulkar R Dravid VVS Laxman MS Dhoni H Singh Z Khan I Sharma Sree The one in bold needs to be spanked big time. Give him an ultimatum. Either get your pea sized brain functioning in this series or don't ever wear the India colours. I would play Pujara at 3. Gives the message to him and Dravid. We need to blood players starting now. Th next series is in Eng. and I am not sure about Dravid's future although he didn't do too bad last test. I think the team isn't bad. It needs to win the toss and win the first session.
IKnowU Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 What does it take for Dartbhajan to be dropped? Hes a absolute passenger these days.....
putrevus Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I would go bold and replace Bhajji and let him know the crappy bowling he has been bowling for last three years ends now, let Ohja be the spinner at least he will have some control on leaking runs.

I cannot understand why, if one assumes players are picked on merit, his place in the team is never questioned. One would think he was winning games single-handedly given that he is guaranteed to always play, a Leo Messi equivalent of cricket. However the stats and figures prove otherwise, and have done so not just for months but for years. So why oh why does he always play no matter what???!

Only reason I can think of is he has big stature in the team and guys like him if they are dropped from the team, they are dropped for good. When Kumble was the main spinner he used to play the matches no matter what and Bhajji came into team only when they played two spinners. This guy scored two hundreds to boot which I think will hurt Indian team more than help in long term as this guy will not be dropped any time soon.
diegovegaz Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 zak, sree, ishant, ojha pujara for raina

Against a helpless poor kiwi attack, and comes out yesterday in a crucial situation to play stupid shot. :headshake:
vishalvirsingh Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 How Do U Expect Durban Wicket To Behave would it be a wicket similiar to first test...? I mean juice on the first day and then with sunshine it bcomes a wicket only for Super fast bowlers like steyn n morkel ...medium pacers like totsbe , ishant sreesanth fail.. would it be fast n bouncy like first test one and even more bounce..? then indian batsman will ahve the going even more tough and i cant say what our pacers will manage as i am kinda disappointed by ishant and sreesanth and jaidev is a HUGE disappointment. would it help swing bowlers ? SPIN TRACK is kinda not possible..?
saneindian Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I hope it is an out and out pacy wicket with help for bowlers on all days. Should not turn into a flat patta after a session or two on day 1. If it does then its like win the toss and win the match.

hari504504 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Durban is one of the fastest pitches in the world.. after our day 1 collapse in Wanderers I think the curators will leave a mini savannah on the surface which will last for 5 days (or 3..can be an early finish)
putrevus Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Against a helpless poor kiwi attack' date=' and comes out yesterday in a crucial situation to play stupid shot. :headshake:[/quote'] We can live that shot if he had bowled well but what he did with ball was just not acceptable from senior player like him , he have away a boundary every over,. All the top six of Proteas are in great form and this guy kept feeding them freebies and built no pressure at all, when Dhoni needed him the most he totally scre*ed his captain. I don't know how you can play him after that performance.

hari504504 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 No spinners in Durban please..4 pronged pace attack (assuming Zaheer plays)
