Andy Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Am sure Gambhir will be fir and be available for Selection for the 3rd test. Gambhir looked pathetic handling the Short ball in his short stay at the crease in the first innings of the First test. In the 2nd Inngs Gambhir gutted out and played really well in the 2nd Innings. On the Other Hand, Vijay didnt play as well as Gambhir in the 2nd test but we must not overlook the fact Vijay was playing on a Green track and he didnt looked Rattled by the Bouncers, Left them alone and handled them well. So who should India go for in the 3rd test, Gambhir or Vijay?
saneindian Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 No brainer this, has to be Gambo. But Vijay does have some lucky charma bout him. Out of the 9 tests he has played, we have won 7 and lost 1! Unfortunately will have to make way for Gauti who hopefully has recovered from the swelling in his fingers.
Andy Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 Yeah and Gambhir has been part of the losses we had to Sri Lanka and SA this year.:((
saneindian Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Yeah and Gambhir has been part of the losses we had to Sri Lanka and SA this year.:(( Tension mat le bhai. Jo bhi ho, we are winning the 3rd test and the series. Cheer up
asterix Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Gambia..He has the capability to get under the skin of Saffers..
Sid Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Yeah and Gambhir has been part of the losses we had to Sri Lanka and SA this year.:(( lol,if thats the case, then we should go with Vijay B->
vvvslaxman Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 If Gauti is even slightly unfit then it has to be Vijay. But Capetown can be absolutely flat. So it doesn't matter who bats there. Under seaming conditions Vijay survive better though. In both innings he shared a 40 plus partnership with Viru.
Sachinism Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Drop Sehwag and let Gambhir open with Vijay
zen Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Drop Sehwag and let Gambhir open with Vijay You want to drop arguably the best test player of India!
Sachinism Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 You want to drop arguably the best test player of India! Its a joke - chill baba
vaibhav_delhi Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Gambo, though vijay hasnt done bad. @rett: Indias best batsman: For pure dominance, Sehwag. For playing under pressure, laxman For pure batsmanship and longevity, Sachin Agree?
Andy Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 ****!!!!Voted for Vijay by mistake. **** happens. :--D Just like We conceded a Last minute equaliser last Nite! :((
yoda Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 How is the pitch? If is as crazy as the last one, may be Vijay as he seem to be able to handle more deliveries. If it is easier to bat on may be Gambhir as he can easily put up a big score. Reading the other thread from Gunner, seems like a batting pitch. So Gambhir for sure if he is fit.
King Tendulkar Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Gambir of course. A more relavant thread would have been who plays next test, Vijay or Pujara?
hari504504 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 After what happened they're not going to pull out a green turf at us for a long long time..expect a flatbed with some spring in it..wouldn't matter who opens for us (except Raina)..
ViruRulez Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Vijay is also not the best player of bouncers and Gauti has proved himself in loads of tests. Gauti all the way for sure.
Jersey #10 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Jaddu! for god's sake...what's up with all these stupid threads?
