Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 except maybe the fact that i havent slept in 13 hrs and will probably call in sick today.... tendulkar is fkn clutch, this is gonna be one of his best ever, he is carrying india bhajji, giving me a heart atack but what courage....that ondrive off steyn was the best shot ever this is the best day of test cricket i have seen in a long, long time
DomainK Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Fully agree. Tendulkar is facing some of the most hostile bowling you will ever see and has held on brilliantly. Thats what makes test cricket so interesting. And Bhajji's become quite a different batsman these days. He not only hot Steyn for a classy six, but got on his nerves big time. He will play a big roles later on as well. Right now, he is doing a brilliant job of staying with Tendulkar.
asterix Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'm getting goosebumps watching and listening to the Sky panelists describe about what they saw today..
kabira Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I think this innings may have taken lot out of him and he may sit out of first 2-3 ODIs

flamy Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Unlucky to lose Laxman, did well to get a formidable lead
Jersey #10 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 What a fightback, especially under no pressure as may would describe this occasion.
akshayxyz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 not just cricket .... its the baap of anything that involves a ball Come on - lets not do apples vs oranges vs g_rap_es, vs peanuts.. Its enough to say Test cricket is best of all forms of cricket.
maaki Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Tendulkars knock was pretty gritty, but Laxmans and Dravid run out unpardonable.. We were in the bad situation because of their runouts.
akshayxyz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Why Laxman's ? it was just that unlucky moment. But yes he was a bit lazy, could have avoided.
maaki Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Laxman runs a run when the run is certain 150%. For a guy who does not run close runs because of known knee issues what is the point of taking a start. Tendulkar in test cricket avoids close singles , so to me this is a bad *** up by Laxman. We could have had another 30-50 runs lead. Would have been a game changer Why Laxman's ? it was just that unlucky moment. But yes he was a bit lazy' date=' could have avoided.[/quote']
akshayxyz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Yes he is not good runner, but he makes up for that by finding boundaries. Today also he was going at SR of 72 or so - that shows the kind of mood/form he was in. Today's run out was not because of the bad call, it was luck - (the way Kallis got out) in previous match. He could have avoided by grounding the bat in time, instead of watching the ball hit the stumps ( off Sachin's bat through Harris fingers). We were well on the way to 450+ had it not been for that unfortunate moment. I hope he will play a crucial role in the 4th innings, if required, and this time I will vote for him - in "performance under pressure vs Sachin" poll :).
