How much can India chase in Last Innings ?

If we click as a batting unit then we can chase down 300+ but ideally wouldn't want us to chase more than 225 with the kind of pressure our team would be under in the 4th inning. The bowlers will have to raise their game and bowl out SA for around 200. Which means getting 8 wkts for 150 more. With some of the guys probably playing their last test in SA, I expect them to give their best. Whatever happens, I hope we fight it out! :india:

If you had asked me this question 2 or 3 years ago I would have said 100. LOL. Of late this team has shown the resilience of a champion. I would like the target still to be < 200, but can see them even going for 250 or more.

I think even 250 is doable, but that will require extreme application and some restraint from Sehwag and a bit of luck against barrage of outswingers and bouncers from Steyn and Morkel. Today also there were times when a c.m. here or there and ball would have caught Sachin's edge.

no more than 160; so they should either get SA ao 1hr after lunch or wait for them to declare and play out a draw if they can with an injured opener and a useless domestic bowler bully

4th innings average in this pitch is 170 odd, so I wouldn't want them chasing anything more than 200. Upto 250 is chaseable, but I am worried about steyn's fearsome spell in 4th/5th day pitch

250, i expect Sehwag to come good and Dravid to score some meaningful runs. So we can chase up to 250, anything above that is going to take a miraculous VVS special again.

Would not be confident with >200...even that is bound to be stiff. Unless we really nail the middle order tomorrow (Amla, ABCD, JK if he bats) then I can't see them not putting up a tough tough total - already 50 odd on the board. Still we'll see what happens, this batting line-up has made many a pessimistic Indian fan look foolish.
