Do SAcans lack Killer Instincts?

Haha so many people contradict themselves. Was it not some time ago where you all people were saying SA bats well as they play on the last day where there is nothing for the bowlers. So leave the pitch excuses. 340 is a hard task but not impossible. At least India could have attempted instead of chickening out and supporters like you praising India while criticizing SA. Utterly stupid.
yeah, india chickened out...:hysterical: even graeme smiff would think u are a ***n idiot. T20 game and ODIs are coming up, so dont worry, u will get a chance to see india scoring really PHAAAASHT

Zuid Afrika has always been an über defensive side. Their response to a good shot is almost always to put a man back to wherever the ball was hit. They even took the defensive route against the Pakiz and selected Harris out of all people. This is the last team that will even try to attack when there's even a chance of a defeat.

You still stick to your point. Good for you. They definitely took a much safer and cautious way to a target which could have been done. There is nothing wrong with that approach but we should not taken it from the start and why the heck are some supporters defending this and questioning SA.

u are just being argumentative for the sake of it. india are playing the way they are because there is nothing left to play for. india's series ended at tea time on day 4. if SA had done a proper declaration, i.e. with 300 on the board with 30 mins left before stumps on day 4, then we would have seen a real chase. south afrika took the easy way out, ran up the score, refused an opportunity to have a go at india before stumps, and most importantly, BOWLED WITHOUT ANY DETERMINATION TO GET WICKETS on the final day. south afrika played for the draw, never for the win. truly gutless stuff from south afrika. anyway, steyn just got gambhir out, let's see how they approach this now.

So SA scored 340 on a day 4 pitch with more than 90 overs against the likes of Ishant and Sreesanth' date= but people expect India to chase down the target in 90 overs against the likes of Morkel and Steryn on a day 5 pitch, which is turning square for harris?? Considering the Sehwag, Dravid and Pujara hasnt done anything of importance in this series, draw was the only option. But its good that the mere presence of Sehwag (even when out of form) got Smith shaking in his boots and prevented him from declaring earlier.
South Africa scored only 288 runs on day-4.

So you think the level of difficulty in batting on 5th day is the same on all pitches? Are you arguing just for the sake of it or are you just that dumb??

Before you make anymore fool out of yourself, please do show us when any team scored 340 on the 5th day in SAF. And, don't worry, T20s are coming soon.

Do SAcans lack Killer Instincts? They had 90 overs to bowl out indian but only got 3 wickets. They could not bowl out Pakistan twice in UAE. Last year they could not get England's 10th wicket not once but twice. Clearly Steyn is great bowler, destined to be great. But one bowler can't win you all the matches. He needs support. If Steyn goes down, they will be in trouble. It proves they lack Killer Instincts

Hurray, what a brilliant common sense. Just because something has never been done, it is regarded as a excuse. What's next, India has never won a series in SA, so stop demanding so much from Dhoni's India. The point is India never tried and looked for a draw since the start. Also, there are tons of fans here happy to give up compounded by their excuses, excuses. Every time excuses........

Or maybe they are just not that good - out of their last 6 series they have won only one, against West Indies. I feel lack of a quality spinner has really caught up with them. Numerous times they have not been able to bowl out teams in the last innings.

^exactly, now they will have that Tahir dude is good enough to take wickets for them. They need another seamer to compliment Steyn and Morkel.

SA are so pathetic at home, I'm honestly pissed off that we failed to win the series after being in such a dominant position. SA should not be so disappointed with the series either IMO, given their *****y record at home. PS: Anyone who says we should've gone for it needs their head checked.

Kabz' date=' kallis was injured so they were technically 1bowler short[/quote'] achha if he was there, he would have rolled us over. Sai, we did not have Sehwag as well...He in the past has taken useful wickets..check kanpur test match..

I dont understand - who gets a wicket bowling over the wicket? They even made Steyn bowl round the wicket to laxman just after he had taken a wicket. They had given up so much earlier.
