Smith is a bit afraid of the India batting lineup and that is showing in his approach. That also is the reason for the delayed declaration. No captain ever discounts Sehwag when determining what could be a good target for India. Even when Sehwag is gone, there are some very good batsmen who can chase down large targets with ease. Except Steyn and Morkel, the Smith does not think much of the rest of his attack and fears that the Indians are at an advantage in certain phases of the game.

Bhaisaab this is their home series. They haven't won a home series in long time, this was their chance. No way we could have gotten 340 after Sehwack went early. But there is nothing in their strategy to suggest they want to win.

So SA scored 340 on a day 4 pitch with more than 90 overs against the likes of Ishant and Sreesanth, but people expect India to chase down the target in 90 overs against the likes of Morkel and Steryn on a day 5 pitch, which is turning square for harris?? Considering the Sehwag, Dravid and Pujara hasnt done anything of importance in this series, draw was the only option. But its good that the mere presence of Sehwag (even when out of form) got Smith shaking in his boots and prevented him from declaring earlier.

T20 addicts think anything is possible. This not the typical highway pitch found in most T20 - it's a Day 5 test match pitch with very variable bounce. There are many rough areas for the spinner too, but Harris isn't a "spinner" is he? :giggle:

Are you saying that SA didnt chicken out first? They could have set India 300 and given us a half a session yesterday. So why didnt they?
