This is probably the most justified outcome! There is not much difference between the two teams playing in SA. Yes, India has a better lineup in batting, but SA is not far behind. However, they have Steyn and Morkel, and our bowling lineup is a bit weak for a No. 1 team. However, considering the fact that SA were playing at home on tailor-made pitches, the odds were in favor of SA. Surprised to see India pull of a series draw after getting shellacked in the first test. This is different from before. India, I do not think played better than SA in this test to get a win. Performance from both sides has been 50-50 in the 3rd test. So a draw was a just result. Even with all the shortcomings in the bowling dept, we retain No. 1 with head held high! :two_thumbs_up:

oh comeon, this is just bS. india played far better than SA in this test. india took 20 wickets in this test, SA couldn't. india took a lead against their superior bowling attack. SA slumped to 130/6 and needed kallis to play the greatest innings of his life to save their bacon. SA didnt even have the balls to declare their innings when they had an unassailable target. they gave up on winning the game on day 5 with negative bowling. there should be no doubt over india being the better side in this test at cape town. we shot ourselves in the foot with inept bowling and reactionary captaincy in 2 sessions.

Drop Sachin - he could not score even a single boundary in over 15 overs he played! And anyway, somebody said he is 10/10 so he is not going to improve any further. Gambhir 9/10 - tremendous courage in both innings. Laxman 9/10 - very unfortunate dismissal in the first innings - he looked most fluent second test onwards. Everyone played their part more often than not - except for of Ishant, Dravid, Sehwag - because of them we have to contend with 1-1, else it could very well have been 2-1 or 2-0 in our favor.

Excuse me? First innings was pretty even. In the second innings, yes SA collpased, but then revived. So what if Kallis is the only batsman that resisted besides the tail enders. Last time I checked he was part of the team. Indian bowlers along with the captain lacked the killer instinct to finish them when they were down. Then, Indian batting bailed us out. Pretty even in my books. Remember SA drew two series in India. These two teams are pretty well matched. Although SA is no. 2, the difference is close. Any of these two teams could be no. 1. I am however glad that India is and they deserve it by drawing a tight fought series in India. Only if we had Zak and some match practice before the series for the first test, things could have been different.

@Danda .... nice to see the @sswhooping footers vanish from your posts :haha:
Until next time.....the wounds from ar$se reaming in the first tests have healed for all the players!!! :hysterical:

Series wise yes justified outcome, although the last test deserved a closer ending. SAF ensured that no team had a legit chance of a win with their delayed declaration and some defensive bowling (from what I read).

Hence their actions were understandable.
