I'm pretty sure there wont be a reserve keeper otherwise the candidate in question would have been selected in the current squad to SA. The 15 man squad is all but picked with the only question marks hovering over the pacers department. With Zaheer and Nehra guaranteed, which two from Sree, Munaf and Praveen make the cut? 1. Tendulkar 2. Sehwag 3. Gambhir 4. Yuvraj 5. Dhoni 6. Raina 7. Yusuf 8. Harbhajan 9. Zaheer 10. Praveen 11. Nehra 12. Munaf/sree 13. Rohit 14. Kohli 15. Ashwin Vijay had his chances to sneak ahead of Rohit but hasn't taken them. Kohli should feature in the first XI but perhaps the balance of the team is better with YP at 7.

My gut feeling is that the squad will be a lot closer to the OP, but we will have both Rohit & Yusuf in the team with no second Wicket Keeper. Our selectors have known to go down the route of going to tours overseas without a second keeper and this tournamenet is at home..

Otherwise the squad will be the same as what Shwetabh has said!

^This time we don't have anyone like Dravid/Uthappa who can step in as keeper in case Dhoni is injured, so we definitely will be having a reserve keeper for the World Cup.

6 batsmen or 7 batsmen, that's not a big deal for me compared to what our bowling combination should be. The 4 bowlers we play must be the ones in the best form. From the ones that we have, Zak and PK pick themselves up. Nehra was a front runner for a place in the 11 but Munaf with his recent good form makes it in my book. Since we play with one specialist spinner, he should be someone who can not only be effective in the power plays but also pick up wkts in the middle overs. Well Nehra's recent form has certainly put his position in the first XI in doubt but I still feel the Indian management consider him to be an important bowler.

while he constantly gives away runs, he also takes wickets and has been our highest wicket taker in ODIs in last 2 years so I think he will most certainly be picked. The bowling unit for the World Cup might be Zak, PK, Nehra, Munaf, Bhajji, Ashwin.
