fineleg Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 A tour insider said that Tendulkar had injured a hamstring, a worrying development with the World Cup starting in South Asia on February 19. That does not sound good at all for world cup!
jibranpatel15 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 SACHIN to return home S.Tendulkar will return home from current ODI series agaisnt SA due to fitness concerns. Another big blow to team INDIA after SEHWAG & GAMBHIR
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah, it looked like he was having trouble running fast between the wickets And wasnt at his free flowing best. Big blow for india for the wc preparation perspective.
cowboysfan Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 patel ji,please stop with your thread starting itchiness and read the page one before posting links.this has already been posted TWICE.
Hindustani Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 who will replace him ? do we have any opener left ?
ravishingravi Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 This can be a blessing in disguise. Tbh, this series is a pre cursor to the WC. Even if India lose it, but find some youngster who does well in these conditions, it will help in the WC. Series now is more like Aus. ODI series against us in 2009, when the second string Aus. side defeated first choice Indian team. India will have to bowl well and ideally they will have to bat first.

mhr123 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hamstring can take more than a month to heal.. i hope inshahaALLAH its not too serious...
diegovegaz Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 no kaarthick please india can't have two vijays opening paarthiv is a better choice (would like to see uthappa at the top order though) currently, the best option is kohli and vijay opening, rohit can come at 3, with yusuf getting an oppurtunity at 7
jusarrived Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 phew ' date='he will be fine in a month.he just needs some practice before the WC and he will be good to go.[/quote'] the first round is just practice , we need our players in form for KO phase
