gaurav92 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Its a tough call actually since there are 14 great teams, battling out for the ultimate glory.The defending champions Australia will be a strong contender for the cup, and so will be the sub continent giants like Pakistan Bangladesh Sri Lanka and India.At the same time, the Englishmen will be itching to lift the cup as they did the Ashes, and SAF on the other hand, would hope that they don't choke this time around.NZ and WI are very unpredictable side, and can cause an upset on their day.And finally, coming to the associates, they too have an equal chance of winning as they will play some fearless cricket. To cut the long story short, me thinks India will emerge victorious, with Goddy raising his bat to the Jam packed Wankhede crowd, elated, after his second double hundred, but this time against Australia chasing 388. :isalute:

These guys aren't built to handle the subcontinent conditions and even though they have improved simply don't have the firepower to compete with India/SL in our pitches. Really, the competition is between Sri Lanka and India and whichever side can have it's batting firing on all cylinders should make it.

Really, the competition is between Sri Lanka and India and whichever side can have it's batting firing on all cylinders should make it. i disagree, current english team has batsman to make full use of Indian condition plus they bat deep; like India the only thing they lack is an express bowler so as far as england goes if they can bowl well then they should do well in WC.
