The intensity will be unbelievable. And in Mumbai too; were our hearts were broken 2 years and 2 months ago. There will be punch ups on the field and in the commentary booth. This can be the seed. Not only to a revivable of the ODI format. To blaze a light in the deep deep darkness cricket has been through this past 2 years. Like 2007 T20 world cup, this can bring us together in intense rivalry but also camaraderie. This is what we all really want isn't it?. No win against SA, Eng or Aus will ever taste so sweet. So I wish my brothers across the border all the best in their group. Hope they can beat SL and top their. And lets make it date 2nd April and may the light that shine out from this game blaze the way to a new dawn both within cricket and without.

Hypoticaly speaking, say the 4 injured players did not heal before the opening match, with the current team with a bunch of players out of form (including the captain) we will get bunch of butt kicking! And for pakistan in final ... HA! Let them announce a freaking captain first then lets see if they can qualify for the quarter finals ... I woudn't be surprised if it Srilanka makes it to the final once again!

Fluke? When we win a tournament then it is a fluke or we are lucky. We have match winners, Do or Die is the diffrence between Pakistan and the rest of the teams, Pakistan stand up and be counted

Their ODI side is even worser than it was 2-3 years ago, when Geoff Lawson was the coach. Back then, at least, they had India’s tormentor-in-chief Shoaib Malik in the side. We were Salman Butt’s favorite ODI opponent as well. He’s almost certain to miss out. Dunno if they will play Kamran. Even if they do, his record as an ODI opener is highly suspect. Coming to their bowling, the difference could have been Aamer. Dunno the exact technicalities of how these things work out, but is there a possibility of him being included in the squad for the WC, if he’s exonerated in the ruling set be given on Feb 5? Akhtar is there, but he will, as usual, breakdown in spectacularly theatrical fashion just before the game starts, write a book about it and make it a theme of a reality tv show.

Individuals who would hand have sold out their team and nation in crucial situations. It is still a regret of mine that had Butt not sold out your team in the against SL we would have had a India vs Pak final in the Asia Cup. He is out now and I think the real Pakistan will step forward. If you play to your potential you should hammer SL. It would be fitting revenge for that Asia cup game.

If Amir comes back then i don't think he will risk the chance of being caught again, he will learn his lesson. Shoaib Akhtar has played like 15 games in a row, Longest consecutive games in his whole career. I think he will do his hardest to play because this is his last world cup.
