ludhianvi
I hope he does well if he's picked in the playing eleven. Maybe he'll be the surprise element and he can rip through Pak's lineup Link to comment
gator
to really know, how a pace bowler with potential can turn a match on its head, VRV sends another reminder.... he has not fully matured yet, considering how quickly Ishant came onto his own.... VRV is the 145kph bowler and he can turn a match in a matter of an over or two.... Imran used to identify these kinda bowlers and asked them to forget line/length and jus go all out... VRV/Ishant and Sreesanth need tht kinda backing... they will win u the matches from unbelievably hopeless positions like Waqar and Akram used to do... West zone were a comfortable 137/2 and coasting... 33.2 Singh to Pujara, OUT, What a screaming yorker from VRV! A peach of a delivery to face up. Poor Cheteshwar Pujara. It was hurled in full, Pujara shaped to jab it away but it swung away late too - too good for the batsman on a duck and it took out the middle stump. North have roared back into the game CA Pujara b Singh 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00 33.1 Singh to Patel, OUT, Parthiv is gone. Huge wicket. He doesn't look too happy though. It kicked from a length, Parthiv stabbed at it and the ball went close to the outside edge. The bowler and the 'keeper were absolutely sure that it was out. They didn't even appeal too vociferously and up went the umpire's finger. Parthiv stalled a brief while before walking off. No replays yet to confirm Parthiv's doubts or the bowler's conviction. If there is, i will let you know. Link to comment
Guest Hiten.
VRV is bowling at 5.71 rpo. You seriously back up this man ? He has a torrid time to get back to his bowling mark up. Link to comment
fineleg
Whoz VRV? :hysterical: Link to comment
gator
out and out pace bowlers do go for runs while going for the attack, and add a flat track and an equally talented batsman - Rahane, he did open up the match in a couple of balls.... only pace bowlers and wrist spinners can do tht often..... parthiv patel and pujara could have taken them from 137/2 to 350+, mind u.... Ram
VRV is a good bowler. Anyone who can bowl close to 140ks so early in his career needs to be nursed. Fast bowlers are like Gold Dust, they need to preserved and sheltered. We have to keep a close watch on him. This is the second time in the last few games that he has drawn attention with his bowling. Link to comment
Cricketics
even if India has found Ishant and all.. i won't keep my praise away for this guy.. hez a good bowler too.. he would be picked for India agian on day.. he can do it.. Link to comment
bunny
VRV's first spell wasn't all that good actually. Malik looked the better bowled. He has the potential though. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
He is one to keep an eye on. Not ready yet but in a year or 2 who knows. He has the build and some natural pace if he keeps working hard he could make it Link to comment
msb1991
He was only around 130kph on Sky Sports just now, has that been the case all season? To be honest, the speed gun readings all seemed very low. For example, Rajat Bhatia was clocked at just 105-110kph. Link to comment
msb1991
**Bump** VRV took three wickets today, bowling with good bounce and accuracy. He seems a natural wicket taker due to his bounce. On the back of a good end to the Ranji season and good Duleep Trophy, could he be pushing for a Test spot? Link to comment
Cricketics
Both Punjab bowlers - VRV AND GONY HAVE real competition between them. though Gony is playing for Chennai here in IPl, he happens to be a Punjabi player and plays for Punjab in Ranji. being in Dhoni's team, is a blessing for Gony. Dhoni might give him a chance to play for India as he is the ODI captain.. Link to comment
bigdhoni7
vrv should take rp singh's spot for test matches in india. he clearly knows how to bowl on these type of pitches. Link to comment

bigdhoni7
:hysterical::hysterical: one bad match for RP after a injury and he should be dropped??:hysterical::hysterical: one bad match? make it two straight where he went wicketless. he bowled horribly on pitches that don't suit his main strength of swing. i don't remember one good game he's had in india before the test series against the saffies. a team of zak, vrv, sree, ishant and thrown in irfan as a batting allrounder will be quite a balanced team on indian pitches. ludhianvi
VRV needs to get more fit. When he walks back to his run-up, he walks as if he is climbing Mt. Everest. The problem with VRV is that he leaks away too many runs even though he does pick up wickets. So the days, he fails to get wickets, its really an off day for him with the high economy rate.
