Sachinism Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Someone has created a twitter account @shastribot who basically posts cliche phrases Shastri uses while commentating Quite funny actually
Sachinism Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 Just google Shastribot (can't go on twitter at work to give you a direct link)
Shane Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 http://twitter.com/shastribot Some of the gems "Just what the doctor ordered" "he's given it the Full Monty" "In the end cricket is the real winner"
f.b.m Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 ^ Yeah, the new batsman getting set ritual isnt there: *Ball beats the bat*: Oh, that was a tentative poke *Batsman hits a 4*: Good thing is that there are no half measures there
varun Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 :hysterical: Nice link ! Ravi thinks in phrases rather than words
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 its missing the most commonly used shastri cliche: "THAT WILL DO HIS CONFIDENCE A WORLD OF GOOD"
Dravid Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 He has given it the kitchen sink good one guji
SachDan Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 On slow tracks whenever Sachin struggled to time few shots early in his innings Shastri always comes up with this astute observation.. "He's the the kinda batsman who likes the ball coming on to the bat" *1000 times and counting :yawn2: For all well timed square cuts..Ravi cliche : "that went like a tracer bullet" :)
flamy Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 "Oh he flashed and he flashed hard" :hysterical::hysterical:
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 nice share. shastri was the only fair, unbiased commentator worth listening to, on the SA tour.
SachDan Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 nice share. shastri was the only fair, unbiased commentator worth listening to, on the SA tour. Rather sucked few SAF balls. Shastri just won't allow any of his foreign colleagues to have a go at Team India in matches played in India but if it's a series happening outside India, he would nod his head in approval as if what ever these goras have to say about our performance is cent percent right. That's been the case all along! Marcus Trescothick of commentary :--D
