I think it may be the ads that used to appear on the field when the bowler was running in and you could see them behind the keeper and then they'd suddenly disappear BTW all Indian channels should be fined, they're all pathetic

fabulous! I didn't expect our consumer courts to respond so quickly :woot: Also, they must be made aware that the last balls of an over and the replays of a wicket are also cut :finger: I am lucky to watch it on the net without ads. But, India being the biggest consumer and basically the money pit is being horrendously shortchanged.

About fkin time. Watching cricket has become tedious. They even started advertising right in the middle of the screen. Did anyone notice the TV ads on top of the painted ads on the ground near the keeper?

I hate watching these channels and literally a second after the end of the over it cuts to commercials and then next thing you know, they come back to the bowler running in at the beginning of the next over. It's ridiculous how much Sky Sports are better than these clowns.

Neo needs to sued for all that and for overusing the purple color in their broadcast. A friend from India was telling me how Doordarshan had better coverage of the Ind-SA series than ten sports. It's ridiculous how much money these idiots make and still can not offer proper live coverage.

That's because Doordarshan doesn't pay for the coverage.
Which is actually unfair to those channels who have to dish out millions for coverage rights. But this situation won't last for long. Its untenable for the channels and the general viewer. The relevant act will be amended and treat DD as any other private channel when it comes to live sports broadcasts. I am as annoyed as the next person by the invasive ads and pop ups, but think of it from the point of view of the channel. They have to maintain public interest in their channel and generate revenue. And many a times the two are contradicting courses of action.

Ironically DD was the one who started the trend of showing too many ads others have just gone one step further, yes there coverage was only slightly better than Ten cricket, considering they don't pay for the coverage they shouldn't be showing so many ads

Its not only Ten sports. All other channels showing Cricket do this!
why blame Ten sports only. Stupid Max shows 30 second ads between deliveries in the IPL .. Micromax :finger:
Without an iota of doubt, Ten Cricket's broadcast of Ind-SAF series was truly the worst of all time. It was more like showing cricket in an ad show.

The decision for the special rights to DD was taken keeping in mind a large number of viewers in India who dont have access to private channels but love to watch Cricket. However, the "free" part is something I can not understand. DD should be made to share some of the financial burdens in these cases.
