TheWall Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 1983 WC win was a fluke. you have to live with it. Joke of the century:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
ravishingravi Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Is there real dirth of decent Bangladeshi fan ? Everyone of them sounds like an after birth of Pakistani troll fan ( no offence to good ones here ) and one who is really talking sense although being rather self degrading is being called a troll. I had the privelege of being on their esteemed forum on India's last tour when Sehwag had ignited the "foojhadi" under their "you know where" with the "ordinary" comment. There were actually serious arguments being made that India's bowling attack was so "mediocre" that they wouldn't even get in Bangladesh XI (rings a bell, doesn't it)
ravishingravi Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 As for 1983 WC, yes India had won test series before that including in England and WI. Sure, they were rank underdogs, but that does not make them a minnow. But I am not surprised at them celebrating that one win in 2007, they really haven't done anything to justify their talks except lose consistently. They have done well against NZ but before they can even learn to walk for 5 minutes straight, they want to fly (shoot the star). Their pain wouldn't last too long this WC. The pressure will get to them.
Hell Raiser Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Bangladesh should feel proud if they reach quarters, and they can certainly do this because they can create one or two upsets. It wouldn't surprise me if they did reach the last 8.
DaFan Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 so many useless opinions, lets revisit this thread after BD played all 6 games in the 1st round of WC.

I thought it will be a turning point. But team continued to get hammered with few exceptional moments of excitement. I think recent 4-0 victory over NZ is a great step up, but you know how unrealistic some of the expectations are from your fans. Senegal defeated France, did it change anything for them. BD have to be more consistently winning. Although, on a major positive, Tamim is looking one prospective world class talent while Ashraful has just fallen apart.
Ashrafool Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Ashraful_Rox has half truth and half trollish behavior. It is true that it was unexpected of BD to win in 2007, if ppl tell you that they were expecting then its just as good as how Canadian captain thinks his team will go through to to semis lol. That win was a fluke and everyone knows it. But this time around I do expect a close contest and wouldn't be too surprised if we pull off a win. We are a #8 team now after all. Beating IND in 2007 was a fluke and so was beating SA, but drubbing NZ 4-0 is by no means fluke no matter how trouble the NZ team right now is. Not too long ago they thrashed IND in that tri-series and was #2 team.

Watson87 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 This is the most active topic on page 1 :WTF: Well you can't count the last two pages. As it's mainly about Ashraful_rox, he brought the whole bangla brigade here, but they are mainly bashing Ashraful_Rox:hysterical::hysterical: . Look at the views count here, a single user brought the whole padosis here. They must really hate him :D

Then we had to find a new group of core players and train them. And these new group of players have only marginally fell short of victory in the ODIs. We have been competitive in most game not like pre 2007 where we used to get beaten by 100+ run.
hitman1980 Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I think India should allow Bangladesh to bat twice .. else it will be very easy for India to rollover Bangladeshis .. Will be quite boring .. But then even if we allow them to bat twice still we will win easily .. So fact of matter is minnows will always be minnows .. They should concentrate on beating minnows and pray for some rain etc which can help them to get to QF ..

Shall we let them come back and finish all 50?
asterix Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Yes guys. It's not good to be so overconfident..
DaFan Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Going back to the title of the thread...Quarter finals so sure Windies Fast bowling seem to be crap in the subcontinent even against kenya, which was my main worry.

Yeah I think so :--D .. Would be heart breaking for the homecrowd if they r not able to see their team bat 50 overs.. :cantstop: Anyways India will be finishing off the match in 15-20 overs if they r chasing .. so crowd will be asking for refund either ways :winky: Going back to the title of the thread...Quarter finals so sure Windies Fast bowling seem to be crap in the subcontinent even against kenya, which was my main worry. Better worry abt ur crap bowling and batting .. :two_thumbs_up: Bangladesh just can't make to next group without luck .. they don't have any talent at all which can carry them to QFs .. Just try to find how not to lose to other associate nations .. and also try finding new excuses when ur crap bowling will be kicked all over the park .. :hatsoff:

If Bangladesh had fast bowlers anywere near Roach and Russell then people might take them a bit more seriously. But no, you got rubels and pregnant mortaza's
