A criminal complaint stated the woman, 43, was burned on her back and breasts with irons and frying pans, and her foot was smashed under farm equipment. She also allegedly delivered a stillborn child while in chains. Another infant survived. Peter Lizon, 37, is in a West Virginia jail on $US300,000 ($295,000) bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on a malicious wounding charge on Friday. Jackson County Chief Deputy Tony Boggs said the victim had endured more torture than virtually any domestic violence victim he had ever seen. Lizon's lawyer was not immediately available for comment. He told WSAZ-TV the allegations were false.

The doctors even gathered around him and made fun of him when he went aggressive asking for water. The desperately thirsty man called up the police, but when the police arrived, the hospital turned them down saying that the patient was being taken care of. He called his mother and even her complaints fell on deaf ears. When his cheeks and tongue stared swelling up in sheer dehydration, she went to a doctor and complained again only to be told that nothing was abnormal. Then she found a senior doctor and and complained to him, who immediately started life saving procedures, but it was too late. A man died in a hospital of sheer thirst. Apparently the man, who was admitted for something common, was found to have a brain tumor. Whatever the complications were, it was affecting his body fluid levels, so medication and supply of body fluids was to be done under doctor's instructions. In most such cases, even water will be given if and only if the doctor says so. But in this case, they forgot to treat him and keep his medication going. The complications resulted in a much faster loss of body fluids than normal. I remember once being in a hospital and there was a woman who was literally screaming for water, but she was being denied any water. A staff member tole me that she has cracks in her intestines and water would cause unbearable pain for her, while she was not allowed to drink water, they had kept a constant supply of fluids into her system going on to keep her from dehydrating. In spite of that, her mouth was drying up and she was asking for water. I think it's a typical case where every single doctor thought that someone was treating her, but actually, he received no treatment.
