kabira Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Sachin: Looked in good touch-----Check Sehwag: Looks great-----Check Gambhir: In form-----Check Virat: Been in Good form---check Dhoni:Welcome back to form---Check Pathan: Looks great----Check Yuvi: Dodgy, just needs time in middle---Uncheck Raina: So so----Uncheck I think batting looks good with Dhoni showing some form. Now we need Yuvi to hit some form.
Asoka Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Sachin and Sehwag luk ok,not great tbh.Pray that they peak at the right time.
Cricketics Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 If we get to bat first against Bangladesh on 19th. Most of those middle order bats won't get to bat much. Sehwag-Tendulkar-Gambhir-Kohli will bat out perhaps all 50 overs and amass around about 400 runs.
vvvslaxman Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Sachin and Sehwag luk ok' date='not great tbh.Pray that they peak at the right time.[/quote'] Dont worry about Sachin. He is one guy who prepares for world cup so much dedication. But viru's change in tactics doesn't seem to help. He better sticks to him original "see the ball hit the ball". theory.

Hmm, they are no pushovers, infact Bangladesh in subcontinent > NZ by miles and even better then napakistan as BD are very balanced side with lot of quality spinners

Asoka Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Maybe Veeru is still thinking about his horror show in RSA and has changed his tactics. Purely psychological. Steyn and Morkel wont be that effective in these pitches and if Veeru plays his natural game God save them.
Andy Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 First Lets make some runs in Matches that Matter, Good to see MSD Back in Form Hope that continues in matches that matter.
Sid Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Hope Viru sticks to this new approach, even if he scores 1st 50 runs in 50 balls,2nd 50 will be scored in 25 balls ,Him scoring big gives us a big advantage
Sid Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 ++++ I really don't know whats the need for him to change anything about his batting when "see the ball, hit the ball" has worked so well for so many years. Hasnt worked in ODI cricket
Sachin=GOD Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Hasnt worked in ODI cricket not as well as Tests but still has been pretty good. Over 7000 runs with a strike rate of 100+ is quite incredible IMO.

Ya its a good record, but we need him to score more than those 30-40's ,kind of form he showed in 2008 when he used to play cautiously at start
