Cricketics Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 It's crap to host along with some neighbouring nations. 1987 perhaps would have been a little better when we got to host only with pak. In 1996 it got worse, but still not too bad, now in 2011, it keeps getting worse. India should just host their own world cup.

It would be sad if the other cricket boards from the sub-continent wouldn't vote for Ind and vice versa if they are not getting some games themselves. .... But it is not a bad idea to have a joint WC with other sub continent teams playing at their homes as they can benefit from home support. An BD vs Ireland game would be more lively if it is played in BD then say at Kanpur in India :winky:

England is the only exception which has hosted a whole sole WC. And talking of WI, its no country per se. Its a conglomerate of so many smaller countries.

The first three were hosted only by England though
