fineleg Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Folks still think Sree is an ODI bowler? :hysterical: Tests are different than ODIs - hope some folks now understand that difference. Ishant Sharma would have done the same. Keep these guys Sree and Ishant only for Tests. Some were happy that Praveen Kumar was replaced by Sree. They called Praveen a trundler. But that trundler does better in ODIs.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Sree should concentrate on his acting/dancing - he has a far better future there.
Lord Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 they should play De Ghuma ke song wen Bhajji is near Sree.that should sort things out
achilles Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Ridiculous over by Sree. 24 off the over. But he gave away 12 runs off the first 2 overs. One bad over and the economy was put off balance. He'll come back strong.
fineleg Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 He'll come back strong. He has done this kinda crazy ass ODI bowling in the past too. He should be omitted from ODI squads.
Andy Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Please remove this guy immediately from ODI Setup. He is crap.
HowardRoark Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 What an injustice he is doing to his talent with this looser temperament. Unbelievable!
jaggadaku Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 it's good thing he screwed up in this game, which means dhoni will be forced to go with two specialist spinners in the remaining matches
zen Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I though Sree was getting the ball to swing well under lights. On another day, he could have picked up a few wkts. He did go for runs but some of those were scored through edges. For many of the runs scored against him, my initial reaction was "oh lucky BD and not what a bad ball by Sree"
hari504504 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Agree with ret... his 'spell' is always a mixture of rubbish deliveries and genuine wicket-taking deliveries. At any given match, his spell can read 3-0-32-0 or 3-0-21-2 well, looks like Sree can wave goodbye to WC at dhaka itself. Don't think he'll be in the playing XI after this. No complaints all-round..
jaggadaku Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 ^^his first two overs were fine, but he completely lost the plot in the third one
DomainK Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Lets not be too harsh with him. The Bangladeshis were always going to swing at everything and they connected a few against sree.
Lord Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 his problem is tries to bowl like he does in tests, too fast, mixing up yokers n bouncers, cant get away with in ODIs,u need consistent lines
Aaku Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 they should play De Ghuma ke song wen Bhajji is near Sree.that should sort things out
zen Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 With bowlers like Sree, you can feel that there is a chance of Ind getting a wkt .... right now, it is bland bowling where a wkt could come if the batsmen makes a mistake. Most fans would prefer such bowling as when they see the RRR going up, they think that we are in control but with this kind of toothless bowling it is not difficult for the other team to crawl back in to the game and deliver KO punch later on. If Ind had made around 300 and was playing against one of the better sides, such a situation (bland bowling) would have given a slight edge to the other team .... Which is why captains, at times, take risk w/ bowlers like Sree, who have the ability to deliver a few blows Ind would need a bowler to swing the ball under lights and go for wkt, it will need a bowler to just not contain but go for wkts in the middle overs as well
achilles Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Guys, these are the perils of a wicket-taker. They concede runs but they pick up wickets. Sree's lack of control cannot lead to us writing him off. The guy is a genius when on song. Everyone swears by that. And there's no denying that this guy can win us a game single-handedly on his day. The issue is - he needs his days to come a bit too often or else he'll be dropped when Ashu comes back or he will have to make way for Piyush or Ashwin.

Sachinism Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Bangladesh started with a lot of streaky shots, but Sree lost the plot, he may have the ability, but mentally he's not there
