vvvslaxman Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 I have to admit the content of the article does not match the title. Hope Ganguly just said that to rile up Aussies. Only a fool will rule out Aussies from a world cup. On top of that they are world no.1 ranked side and consistently beat India in India in bilateral series.
Gotham Cronie Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Ganguly is renowned for his verbal jousts with opponents and he was at the centre of the ugly racism storm that marred India's last trip to Australia three years ago. Huh? Also, nowhere in the article does he say that Pakistan will beat Australia. Misleading title. He's praising Pakistan in the article saying they are in his top 4 to win but the article makes i seem like he's insulting them.
Pioneer Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Even..??? EVEN?!? This is a two-pronged insult aimed also at Pakistan...you sly man
satyam1729 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Even..??? EVEN?!? This is a two-pronged insult aimed also at Pakistan...you sly man When did Pakistan last won a test or ODI series against OZ ?
Mariyam Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Even..??? EVEN?!? This is a two-pronged insult aimed also at Pakistan...you sly man I don't think so. Its more to do with Ganguly's lack of English skills. :dontknow: Or maybe the message was lost in translation. In the Bengali language, the equivalent of the word 'even' is used as a filler. I'm joking. Ganguly is a sly fella
Bradman99 Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Even..??? EVEN?!? This is a two-pronged insult aimed also at Pakistan...you sly man Firstly, I don't see where he even said that. Secondly, I sort of agree with him in that it's not the same team, that the middle order lacks experience.. It does, at least at such a tournament with such high pressure.. We obviously are not as likely to win it this year, as we have been the past 10 or so years, but it's still Australia, we are still * 1 in the world and I think Ganguly was maybe a bit too harsh with his words, although there is for sure some truth to it. I don't understand how he can say Australia don't fall into the top 4 teams in one dayers, when we have been ranked number one for a while now. That would be like saying India are not in the top 3 tests sides in the world.. Also, warm up matches don't count for anything, you certainly don't want to be peaking in the warm up matches..
gult Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Whoever has written this article is a lazy idiot.
coffee_rules Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Ranking is a result of last 2 years of form. The recent form, confidence of the team and they didn't win a match in India in the recent tour says they are not a #1 team. He never said 'even pak will beat you aussies' anywhere. He said that Aus is worse than Pak. This is TOIlet journalism.
Andy Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I dont see Ganguly say that, Ganguly has Only said Pakis are Favourite ahead of Aus. I wish Ganguly had said that, That would mean We have learned to play Mind games as well.

Of course You guys are one of the TOP 4 teams in the World, But Ganguly has picked his TOP 4 team in this WC which is being played in SC, Australia's lack of Playing spin has contributed Much to His opinion.

vamos_rafa Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 The title and the content is poles apart. I thought only ore media was a big joke. But this guy from Fox sports seems to be an even bigger masala news seeker.

Ganguly is a sly fella Ganguly's english is fine, he was the most well spoken dude in the team, dhoni, sachin and co are mere spectators compared to Dada's speaking skills, coming from a non dada fan.
Cricket_Guru Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 now this article and OP is a solid proof that some of you eat drink live and breath Pakistan :--D
satyam1729 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 now this article and OP is a solid proof that some of you eat drink live and breath Pakistan :--D Here comes another Pakistani with massive inferiority complex. Did you read that article on foxsports ?
Hindustani Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 now this article and OP is a solid proof that some of you eat drink live and breath Pakistan :--D Have you even read the article ? it has nothing to do with pakistan, no one in the world really gives a phuck about failistan, napakistan is like a mentally challenged kid in school whose everyone makes fun of, because they can and because the mentally challenged kid do idiotic things /typing it slowly so you can comprehend it better,
Mariyam Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Did you even read what Ganguly said? No I didn't. The only Bengali authors I've read are Tagore :two_thumbs_up: and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay :two_thumbs_up: Any recommendations?
