zen Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Trying to get a wicket of every ball is liking trying to hit every ball for a boundary as a bartsman. Ain't going to happen. How come other passion less bowlers always pick up more wickets than Sree every match? Ypu are mistaking facial expressions and antics for passion and agression. Agression without brains will only make a player like Afridi, not Sachin, be it bowling or batting In the last 12 months, Sree has a SR of 18 when bowling in India :winky: The problem with Ind is that it doesn't have a choice of picking a Sachin of bowling. Amongst the 3 seamers, i.e. Munaf, Sree and Nehra, the selection depends more on current form than anything else ..... Also, your assumption appears to be the temperament required for batting and bowling is the same
shrapnel Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I remember reading somewhere that Sreesanth is considered lucky for the Indian Team..... India wins more often than not, when Sreesanth is playing, irrespective of his performance ! No doubt talent and ability are important , but no one can deny the role of luck, especially since there is little to choose between the top 4-5 Teams in this WC. Dhoni can ignore this fact at his own peril !

Dhoni can ignore this fact at his own peril ! you can say that. Won T20 final. Ravindra Jadeja is just the opposite. I am very glad he is not even in the dressing room.
Ultimate_Game Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Was Sreesanth in the team when we won CB Series in Aus?
Ram Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Was Sreesanth in the team when we won CB Series in Aus? He played a few matche earlier in the tournament. If my memory serves me right, Praveen Kumar took his place in the side, with Ishant and Irfan being the other two pacers. Doubt if he played in the finals.

ganeshran Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Though I dont like the way Sreesanth is treated by Dhoni, he doesnt seem to have the ability to bowl on subcontinent pitches. He does pick wickets but easily loses rhythm when some attacks his bowling and suceeds. On our pitches, that is going to happen in virtually every match.
