msb1991 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 what stuff? The idea that Indian coaches, because they could not bowl fast - ask people who can bowl fast to reduce their pace to be more accurate. These bowlers then listen and then lose all pace or accuracy they once had. It makes me feel stupid just running through the train of thought.

Look at these bowlers: Mohammad Sami - very slightly built but bowled over 95mph + on numerous occassions, never really lost pace throughout his career Fidel Edwards - short Waqar younis - short Malcolm Marshall - short Also, if speed is measured as speed of the ball out of the hand then why does it matter what type of pitch there is.
