Yusuf is fine where he is. His value will be apparent when we chase. No need for 5 bowlers. Just replace Chawla with Nehra/Sreesanth and ask Sehwag to bowl offspin. We dont need to play 2 specialist spinners. It makes the attack too one dimensional. Cant manage 3 power plays with 2 pacers.

You guys are overreacting about the bowling attack. India's bowling has always been weak. We will leak 300+ every time we bowl. Even if you go with a 5th bowler, we will leak about the same. These tracks are flat -- keep that in mind.

Yeah I think it was a mistake to give Chawla his last over..YP could've been a better option with his darts..

Chawla has to learn those darts from Harbajan , could be useful in those slog overs ..but otherwise it was so refreshing to see a spinner toss it up & beat batsmen in flight .. the kid has got a lot of variations , may be with experience of few more matches he will give up that tendency to bowl one poor ( very short) ball once in a while .

not true . the only one who looked like taking wickets , till Zaheers last spell . Strauss was clearly not picking him of his first couple of overs .

As soon as he gets hit for a few he starts spraying it all over the place. That can work in tests because the captain can take him off and the batsmen are not really going after him, but in ODIs the minimum one can expect is for a bowler to retain his composure. I have been a huge supporter of Sreesanth since he debuted, but he is completely out of place in ODIs. This was probably the first time Chawla was bowling so late in the innings in a high pressure ODI. Give him time and I am very confident that he can put in match winning spells during the WC. The pitches are going to get slower as the tournament progresses and you really need a genuine wicket taking option, which IMO is Chawla and not Sreesanth. He was the only spinner in today's game who managed to trouble batsmen in flight.

Give 4-5 overs to someone like Sree, who can pick up early wkts, to see if he delivers, if not then use the part-timers to finish rest of his spell .... A couple of good balls from him and Strauss could have gone early and Ind could have won the game (rather than almost losing it and drawing it because Eng couldn't finish it off)

After the 3rd over, the captain panicked instead of calming Sree down and asking him to try to swing it back into the left-handers from outside the off-stump .... There was no way BD was going to chase 370 so a couple of more overs w/ the new ball when he was making it talk (when others couldn't that much) could have helped And you have all the reasons to justify Chawla's bowling when he was bowling too short but somehow feel the need to criticize Sree for one bad over :P

Umpires like Bowden would'nt have given out on snicks..Heck he doesn't even gives out straight forward LBWs. He had to give Trott out as Trott made a complete mess and ended up plumb.. As long as that Bowden guy is officiating Indian matches, India has to struggle a lot to win matches..

Anderson could have had Sehwag on the first ball and probably put Ind on the back foot straight away. Such things happen in a game But agree that fielders need to pick up their games.
