India need the extra fast bowler. We already have two pinch hitters in Yuvraj and Dhoni, a third (Pathan) is not needed. It's not like Sehwag, Tendulkar, Kohli and Gambhir are all going to get out early.

absolutely-Chawla is a very risky option-I think Dhoni got carried away by warm up match....Ashwin anyday a much better and economical bowler than Chawla

i distinctly recall warne saying that he witnessed the greatest knock in the history of cricket when yousuf clubbed a century in ipl. i mean if warne offers his seal of approval which is reserved only for the likes of tendulkar then obviously we need to keep him regardless if he scores or not.

dunno what his role is,he hardly bowls,comes in late n today even then got out. but I would still go with Raina,more reliable finisher n has that pause in bowling that works

Pathan might be good when he has 20 overs to bat in but I don't think the batting will get down to him until the last 5 overs the way India's top 4 batsmen are playing these days

Not needed in the team, bats 5 overs max and gets out if he has to go for it off the fist ball. he needs time to settle and he wont get it in this team

He's a great asset in Indian conditions. He might win you a knock out game single-handed. We should play ashwin ahead of chawla in case we decide to go with two spinners. Ashwin can be useful in power play too
