oh cmon knee jerk reaction. It is very easy to collapse when top order bats till 40th over and gets out at start of pp..Very hard to get going from the word go for new batsmen. I have seen similar collapses many times. Only fault I find is that we should have lowered our target once both sachin and gambhir out and just play sensible cricket. But easier said in hindsight.

These chewtiyas (i.e. everyone other than Sachin, Sehwag, and Gambhir) deserve to have their effigies burnt. They are a disgrace. Watch these ***** chase this total down in the 43rd over.

How the f**k do you get all out for 296 from 267/1 in 39 overs on a ground where the average score batting first is 316 in a D/N game??? Against B'desh we ended up with a little less than we looked like getting, against Eng we were all out when we should have scored 360-370 easy, we struggled against the minnows with 4 wkts down for 100 and now this! Our batting is in serious trouble as well along with our bowling. Hope we lose tonight as we deserve a huge kick up our ass.
LOL@you. Relax. The match is meaningless. If they win they have to face Pakistan. Lose and likely face NewZealand

Taking the PP was the biggest mistake. I think Tendulkar might've had some influence on that. I would blame him partially for it and for that loose shot. Hope these guys learn from this mistake. Pathetic middle order batting.

Is it so easy to lose 9/29? The thing is towards the end we were not even trying to throw our wkts or score quick runs. We weren't even good enough to stay at the crease with 9 balls still left unused!

Clearly the rest of the team was unprepared for the chance they would have to go into bat. A lack of mental toughness and dilligence if you ask me

i am uttler baffled' date='this is a historic collapse.they should never ever take the PP till the 45th over again.[/quote'] Going by today and the game against Eng, they should never take the batting powerplay. They should tell the umpire that they refuse to take the powerplay even in the last 5 overs :--D

1st match we lost 7 wickets for 37 runs 2nd match we lost 3 or 4 wickets quickly 3rd match again 3 or 4 quick wickets 4th match 9 wickets 29 runs So basically in every match we collapse.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:  It will be hard to chase IF our spinners give it SOME air.
We have only one spinner in the Indian team :nervous:

And that's what I'm pointing out. But I'm surprized that nobody expected to bat. Surely they weren't expecting Gambhir and Tendulkar to bat out the 50 overs! They must have known when the batting powerplay was taken that wkts will fall and they will have to come in and score some runs - maybe not a 50 but at least a quick 20 or 30. And as for our bowlers, it's too much to ask them even to block out a few balls.

atleast RAINA could have blasted a few sixes in the end.Kohli and pathan need some time atleast 4-5 overs before the can bat aggresively.DHOBI should have come up the order.

I think Raina might come in next match. Yusuf is totally unreliable. He is a hit or miss player. Yes he is a game changer. But how often that happens.
