+++ Line and Length mentality..One of the main reasons why India doesn't has will not get long term fast bowlers..This smartass mentality has come from years and years of winning matches (Test and ODIs) with the help of Maharathi batsmen and mediocre trundlers. Once they retire, I'm pretty sure Indians will ditch the 'Line & Length' talk. The present top ranking is not sustainable once the Maharathis move away from the scene. All the talk of top ranking having the 'Line & Length' bowlers will vanish in thin air..

Even thinking abt this is sad. I mean you have a fast bowler, who is looking to take wkts of almost every ball. He is raring to go and give his all out and what advise do you think he is likely to get? I guess, it probably won't be to go out there and bowl as quick as he can, look to swing the ball, reverse, try to bounce the batsman out, etc. But it will probably be to cut down on pace to focus on accuracy. Bowl line and length and the wkts will eventually come (for example they will ask you to look at McGrath as if McGrath never bowled quick or swung the ball or looked to pick wkts up)

Its not about the practice session..It is about responsibility to inform the concerned people if they do not want to do a practice session..I pity the students(fans) and everyone else that waited that day.. I cant believe you guys are supporting this attitude...:(

That's the job of media manager and the BCCI, not the players. Btw I am not surprized players did so. If they start advertising their plans in advance they will never get any privacy - not even the little bit they manage to get now. Best thing for them is to keep a low profile, recharge their batteries and come on strong at the business end of the tournament.

Considering that Nehra has more years of experience to his name, his 5 wicket haul record is pretty pathetic.

Ind vs. WI - Sehwag vs Roach in yesterday's match of Eng vs WI, v saw kemar roach seeing off two of the top two english bats with his seething and unplayable pace and bounce. Roach was constantly bowling above 145-146 kmph. Also he has got a hattrick in this tourney. on the other hand, viru, after his brilliant show against bangla and SA, will b keen to prove a point to his critics. He has been the only indian bat after sachin to have consistently performed in WC. It will b pretty interesting to see how he tackles roach, who is the 'go to' man for WI.

Good choices, except I'd pick Munaf/Sree over Nehra and push Dhoni a bit higher up. Sehwag Sachin GG Dhoni Yuvraj Raina Yusuf Bhajji Ashwin Zaheer Sree/Munaf.. though Sree is a better fielder and looks to take wickets, so I'm leaning more towards him.

What about Sreesanth's atitiude - have you seen his overacting - his histrionics on the field can put the best of actors to shame, he gets into regular altercations with the opposition players and to top it all, loses his cool so very quickly that it has become very easy for batsmen to make him lose his line or length. If he's hit for a few runs at the start of his over/new spell then invariably he loses all his line and length and confidence and is useless for the rest of the match.

Sree is a test bowler,hes another chawla,can be very very expensive. as we saw in BD game,his overall career is pathetic,shouldnt have been in the squad,cant pick ODI players on test performances

What's with Sehwag? Before the world cup he went to Eng for his shoulder, before the SA game he went to Delhi to be examined by an expert there, and now before WI game he went to Mumbai to be examined by another specialist? WTF is going on? How can anyone be so f***in unfit and injury prone? I say let's not risk Sehwag in the WI game. Get Gambhir to open, promote Kohli to no. 3 spot and get Raina into the team. Sehwag would be crucial in the knockouts and there's no major gap between games after the group stages. I say let him rest and save him for the knockouts. Why risk aggravating the injury for the windies game?

He got injured against BD when ball hit his knee...He had some problem in the knee and went to Mumbai for advise... aisa na ho ke Viru ko khila le..fielding aa jaye aur usi me Viru ki knee ka kachumar nikal jaaye aur batting kar na paye and same with batting because he will not get the runner because he is carrying injury from the last match as he did not field against SA for last 15 overs
