Hmm in the 8 long years we have played a major test nation just 3 times. 1 tie. 2 losses. 1 loss was a very very close loss. The other loss was against world cup finalist.

It was a question of getting caught off guard. When you play associate teams with a bit of good players you won't know who is the best, who is not..It was pure complacency. much like England did this year. After having BD on the ropes allowing them to crawl back.

Actually the West Indies are ranked above Bangladesh again, and iirc the only reason they went below them was because of the 2009 series against Bangla in which their was a player strike and so played a second string team that lost 3-0.

Don't be so melodramatic. In 2003 we reached the finals and in 2007 we had one major upset which derailed us. There are lot of matches still to be played and can't write off India yet.

If managed correctly this team has the firepower to do it all. Poor thinking/shabby prepration/complacency cost India 3 points. I dont see any team out there that can beat India this year. I really want India to play both Pakistan and SL to shut their arrogant fans up.
