Moncy Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I really feel sorry for him. He tried his best to win the match against Pak tonight. Tait and Johnson failed to back him up. He's one of the best fast bowlers I have ever seen. Lee, you rock. Don't give up! You have my full support. :hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff::hatsoff: Sreesanth, learn how to bowl effectively like him.
RedFlow Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 He was great. He got liitle bit support from Johnson. But one good bowler can't do much! It was great effort by him. But Pakistan bowling was far better with everyone taking wicket and one runout. Needs Team effort!
Karan114 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Even at this age, with so many injury problems in recent years, he has come into this tournament and has given it everything...what an athlete :hatsoff:
riwi999 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Superb bowling by Lee today. I was very impressed by his commitment too. I have a feeling (here I go, like Ravi Shastri :winky: ) that Ponting does not respect Lee enough. I think he is too obsessed with Johnson. Pity that Australia were a one-man bowling attack today. 176 was never really going to be an easy score to defend but when you have only one effective bowler, it becomes very inadequate. Now I hope Tait and Johnson do not suddenly discover their form against India.
gult Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 He tried extremely hard even when pakistan needed just 10 runs. Great attitude
Moncy Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 I don't understand why Ponting didn't let Watto to bowl more overs. He tends to break long partnerships all of a sudden when he bowls in the middle overs.
Switchblade Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Great Effort by Lee didnt had support frm the other end
Switchblade Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Moncy whom you are going to cheer hope its India when we play Oz
Moncy Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 He tried extremely hard even when pakistan needed just 10 runs. Great attitude Yeah!!! I saw that :(( I really admire his attitude/determination :hatsoff: I will never forget his awesome performance tonight. :((:((:((:((
Switchblade Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 The guy was giving it all was impressed by him
Moncy Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 Moncy whom you are going to cheer hope its India when we play Oz Hahaha! That's a tough question :(( I guess I will root for both teams. I will gladly accept whatever the outcome of this QF match is. :two_thumbs_up:
Square Drive Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Great effort from Brendon Jet Lee. :hatsoff: Their bowling attack is lacking variation. Two half-slingas couldn't get it right.
rkt.india Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 They would have better of playing dirk nannes instead of johnson who is faster and more consistent and dangerous...Its a mystry why they dont play nannes enough
Watson87 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Lee is a legend, legend never dies, the rest of the bowlers were plain pathetic. Disgraceful from the world champions, I still can't believe we lost to the minnows Pakistan. But we will bounce back in the quarters, whoever comes in the way, it's early exit :thefinger: Binga Binga lee :two_thumbs_up:
Lord Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 awesome stuff yesterday.dunno Ponting didnt bowl him out.after Afridi went,Lee would have won the match for them

You noticed that Ponting didn't let Smith to bowl a single ball against Pak. He should be dropped for John Hasting (A decent all-rounder).
